when you put the mouse over the green thing next to my name it says, mdmike70 is on a distinguished road. are these randomly put in? and how do you get more than 1 green thing

Those are rep points, when you post, people can click on the little scale under your name to the right of the green light.
It then lets them choose if they approve or disapprove of your post.
It then adds or subtracts "points" from you.
You start out with 10 I think..
To get another green box by your name you need to get 100.
Also the more rep someone has the more than can give or take from you when they vote on your post. You can't change what it says.

Click on USER CP at the top left of your screen. That takes you to the user control panel and you can see your last 5 rep points.

I wonder what is the highest comment. So far, I have seen:

"(something about an uncertain score)"
"(something about things in the past)"
"...is on a distinguished road"
"...will be famous soon enough"
"...has a spectacular aura about"
"...is a jewel in the rough"
"(something about a nice person)"

does anyone have a list of comments, just interested for no apparent reason.

"mdmike70 is an unknown quantity at this point"

THERE IT IS! btw, don't bring up rep points in any thread, you'll only get negative ones, if you want to suicide, you ASK for rep points. But the sheer mention of the word will bring negative ones. You just fucked up my rep for warning you about rep points, mdmike70. congratulations.

sometimes the sheer amount of posting and reacting that happens on this forum amazes me, like the fact that people have gotten thousands of rep points

does that mean after 1 year ill get 2 squares next to my name or one rep point?

No it means say i have been here for 1 year that means if i give you a good rep point you will get 1. kinda hard to understand but its kinda simple. things like post count and membership time come into effect.

Also if you give someone a negative rep and you have 1 rep alt power it will take 2 neg reps to decrease there reputation
