Hello. I've recently gotten into prank calling, but I am having a serious problem that I cannot figure out with modem spy. I'm hoping some people here use the program, as it is quite useful for prank calling purposes.

No matter what setting I change, the program stops recording after 59 seconds. There are no definitive options in the preferences that set this limit (that I can see, at least) and I went into my modem settings and I couldn't find anything there either. Does anyone have any ideas or suggestions? Please let me know. Thank you.

PS, when I record JUST the sound from the sound card (not using the modem at all) it records indefinitely. It ONLY limits to 59 seconds when I am actually initializing my modem. Weird.

Well I think I've discovered the problem. Modem spy utilizes the Windows "sound recorder" program to do the actual recordings. The program defaults to only 60 seconds. Even when I select "mp3" in the preferences, it still records in wav, but gives you the option to save as mp3. Unless there is a way to make Sound Recorder record indefinitely, it looks like I may have to find a new program :( . Too bad too, this one seemed to have it all.
