Ok so I have this on the PS3 and I must say Im dissapointed, realy dissapointed.

PES has been the number one football game for about 8 years, its been light-years ahead of a certain shitty EA title (F**A), but the new PES just seems like a hurried, unfinished game.

The editing is non-existant, the replays are realy shit, the music is realy terrible and the online play? Jesus-fucking-CHRIST!!! Its so fuckin jumpy and laggy, its almost impossible to play alot of the time.

As a massive Pro Evo fan boy I feel robbed and cheated though saying that its still better than any of their rivals crappy efforts this century.

Apparently PES2009 is gonna be totally "Revamped".... I hope they start by actually making sure the game is finished before releasing it!!!

It isnt the end of the world, like I said its still better than that shiney pile of wank EA spew out every year. Playing against the computer in league or Master league is still fun and playing against a mate is even better. Just a shame about the online play.

Fifa 08 is awesome, the graphics, online player, editing, game physics, a lot better than PES and I played the demo expecting it to whipe the floor with Fifia, but I ended up incredibly surprised. Only downfall I see in Fifa is the AI.

Pro is the No1, But fifa is catching up if Pro carry on like this fifa is going to end up over taking it.

Yeah i got it for the ps2, I'm really disappointed. Online is fucking shite, I've only played 6 games and I've won 5 of them, but most of the wins were by default cos the other player disconnected and I don't like that, I just wanna play no matter the result. I'm not even gonna start on the lag...

pes2008 is no different to pes 6 on ps2, i played it at my mates and it was exactly the same, ive got it for ps3 and its way better, but still dissapointed, expected more. There again though still better than fifa

I've been on the PES bandwagon for the last two games. But I bought FIFA 08 because I dug the demo and read a lot of really really good shit about it. That and the fact that it came out a while ago and PES is still months away here in the states. So I'm playing FIFA a lot and really enjoying it.

That being said, I was happy to see the PES demo on xbox live the other night so I gave it a download....HOLY SHIT! This game is laughably fucking terrible. The physics of the ball and running are just so bad. The ball is way too 'sticky' and doesn't really act like a real ball does. I plan on giving it a few more goes but I literally what laughing for the entire 10 minutes I spent playing it.

I am gutted. I just got PES2008, it's pretty toss. Ah well. You can tell that Konami definitely have it in them to make the next one fucking ace, it's like looking through a crack into a massive room, you can see glimpses of excellence in some of the shit you do in 2008 and I hope to see all that brilliance in whatever they call the next one.

One thing that bothers me most, scoring from well far out I don't seem to ever know about because the camera doesn't pan quickly enough. :banghead:

ive been a winning eleven fan for a couple years now but i wasnt really impressed with 2007 (even though it was better than fifa last year) but 2008 was horrible for me. fifa 08 has AWESOME graphics AND gameplay. sometimes i forget im playing a game. fifa is hard at first because of the more slow and realistic gameplay but i got used to it, im currently 11-2-1 online

I know what you mean dude, I bought the game the day it came out and was completely dissappointed. The replays don't bother me too much, its the online play and the frame rate during play that makes me want to go loco on konami's ass.
Also where's the damned patch they're supposed to be releasing?!?!?
There is no way in hell i'd ever buy another fifa game though, loving the game play graphics!!

I miss the boot editor too....

Just get Fifa08. Forget about all the other fifa games, this one is good, and I mean really good. The manager mode, gameplay, graphics, phsyics of the game, online. I only have one complaint..and that is how annoying the AI is. Other than that the best soccer game to date.
