When are we going to get a new city builder on the next gen consoles?

I think it would be a welcome addition.

On a side note.... has anyone played City life? Was it good?

Thanks.

Sim City Societies looks like shit because they ruined the game. You no longer zone areas, you just place whatever building you want. Might as well play B&w2 or some other game like that.

Yeah. Games where you actually micromanage the buildings that are being put up usually get old fast.

I don't think it's gonna happen since there doesn't seem to be much of a demand for sim games on the next gen consoles. Also I haven't seen a sim game in a while that looks like it's worth playing (besides spore).

Dude its what EA does. They take a insanely popular franchise maybe make it a little more popular then fucking destroy it and make it utter garbage so they expand the market of the game to dip shit noobs that shouldn't be playing SimCity in the first place. This is why I no longer buy EA products. I will probably regret that decision when spore is released but I am sticking to it.

That's right! Deny yourself awesome games because of petty principles! Way to go... :rollseyes

And? It just shows that I give everything a shot instead of writing it off because of what company made it... You think maplestory is like on my top 10 games in history or something? C'mon now I only downloaded it because it's free, and it's decent for being completely free.

The only Sim City I liked was the SNES version of the original.

Totally serious here.

Know what I could really go for though? A new version of Theme Park!

anyone remember that?

I remember roller coaster tycoon, it was pretty damn fun. You get to make all these crazy ass roller coasters and watch the people get sick on the ride and start puking.

I never played theme park though.

I didn't like Roller Coaster Tycoon much, but Theme Park was incredibly fun.

That game seemed to have everything required of a good simulation.

:boink:

Try out Shadowbane and Free Allegiance. Both dated, but both fantastic. Shadowbane is difficult to get into, and the PvP is ruthless :D, but it's awesome.

I'd rather eat my own shit in shit in a cup than play "Sim City" Societies. I pray to God that the Sim City series will be able to recover after a shit game like that. It's doubtful though.
