if i remember correctly, PSP requires a specfic type. (B or something like that)

My crappy D-Link DI-624 works fine with my PSP. You'll be fine.

There's the A signal, which sucks, then the G, which is the standard, and N, which is going to be the next standard.

Linksys Wireless - G i think its about 50$, wired and wireless, works great for me, and i do a lot of gaming, consol and pc, i lag a bit, only because i have about 2 xbox consols on live, and a total of 4 computers in my house online.

Wireless G works with both A and B signals. learn2Cisco.

Good luck if it's a locked Cisco router or something of the sort. WEP keys get balls harder to decrypt day after day.
However, if it is unlocked, as most stupid people do, don't worry about masking your signal, and simply connect to theirs.
