hey. i just finished recording a new album called the release. go listen to it at: www.myspace.com/crimsoncitizen (http://www.myspace.com/crimsoncitizen)

13 tracks. everything was done and played by me. and recorded by me. and its...neat? there are 4 full songs and 30 second samples for the rest if you scroll down a bit. if you really really like it, you can buy the album online.
either way, you should write a review of either the album or even just a song.

thanks!

It sounds good. If you were to play at gigs with alot of Indie fans you should get some more popularity. I'm not a big fan on Indie rock it gets old really quick. I would suggest buying better recording equipment, the sound quality could use some work.

Some of those songs are awesome, and you (or your singer) sounds just like the guy from The Strokes. Get some better recording equipment and you should be rockin'.

meh, you kinda look like a young bob dylan.......but other than that it just wasn't for me, i'm disappointed mainly because I stopped Isis just to listen to that. You need a better studio...

its actually just me. i play all the instruments and sing and whatnot. but yes, the recording quality something that I've heard about before, but I don't really mind it. I suppose I like the rawness of it? or maybe I'm just making excuses. But, hey, thank you for your comment. I love the strokes.

I listened to a little bit of Cottonmouth and it hurt my ears; the music itself (at least what I heard) wasn't bad, but you have the guitar completely drowning out the percussion, and the percussion is a really bad drum machine. In recordings the drums are supposed to be a little louder than all the other instruments, and also you should try mixing/panning the instruments in order to balance them out a bit (guitar overdub panned left, guitar overdub panned right, etc).

You have alot of potential and talent, but I know you're capable of more than that!

it drowns the percussion out because of the amount of bass that i put in the drums. if its playing through headphones or in a car, it all balances out, but thank you for your encouragement.

Theres no doubt you're heading for the right direction for the music. You need to upgrade on the equipment. If you want much regonition you need some kind of clarity in the sound, you can still sound "raw" without the static.

try listening to schism, the vocals are much clearer in the verses at least (the chorus is all noise rock shoegaze mybloodyvalentine stuff)
