What is the best tony hawk game and what is the worst [Archive]

My favorite tony hawk game would have to be tony hawks underground 1. And personally i hate the last three tony hawk games that have come out.
ex. Tony hawks project 8, Tony hawks Downhill Jam, And Tony hawks proving grounds.

I loved Tony Hawk 1, 2, 3, and 4. Underground and downhill jam don't really cut it as much.

I played through most of EA Skate but then I just got bored once I got to the x games and returned it. I just didn't think it had much more to offer. I really did enjoy it though. It just lacked any real variety on actual tricks. The two coolest grabs were the coffin and the Christ air. Most everything else looked mostly the same with a slight variation.

I look forward to the sequel as I believe they will improve upon it even more.

1, 2, 3 and 4 was brilliant games, but after that the series just sucked. I think it might have something to do with you being able to go off your board and all that extra bullshit that was thrown in and removed the games focus from the actual skating.

right after thug one (tony hawks underground in case ur a tard) the tony hawk series started tfall apart. I dont know why the people who made the game don't learn from there mistakes.BRING BACK GAMEPLAY LIKE THUG 1 THPS 3 AND 4 I MEAN SERIOSLY THE GAMES GET CRAPPIER EVERY YEAR.

Worst: Tony Hawk's Project 8. It was the first tony hawk game that i didnt finish even as painful as it was to play through American Wasteland. Needless to say, i havent bought proving ground. The series has sucked bad lately.

The first one was original, non-convoluted, had a good soundtrack and was just fun to pick up and play (especially in two-player mode, where you can change the letters in HORSE to make the game tell the loser "you are a WHORE"). After that, they kept trying to "improve the formula" and it's just been getting worse and worse. . .I hated the second one and I haven't liked any one since.

I have to say number 2 and underground were my favorite. I actually hate skating games, but 2 back in the day was awesome, and underground was the only one that I actually rented to try out even though I do not like skating games at all. There was just something about it.

I love 1-4 eqaully for the music but in terms of fun I had it would go 4,2,1,3. I bought THUG 1+2 and although THUG was bad I still managed to complete the main story. THUG2 was fucking abysmal and haven't touched it since I got it.

The original 4 were all great games but then they fucked with the mixture and have turned subsequent games for shit. 1-4 got me into a number of bands I am now huge fans of such as Dead Kennedys, Iron Maiden (my favourite band) and others. Any game after 4 I have hated every single track on the game, apart from maybe a KISS song on THUG.

I don't actually even like KISS, just shows how awful the rest of the songs were.

My favorite was THPS 4 by far. But I see a lot of THUG 2 bashing and I didn't think it was all that shitty. The story was stupid and pretty much there is a whole load of shit that distracts you and takes away from the game, but it was still fun. But the aspect that did sorta kill THUG 2 for me was that it finally got to the point that the tricks you were capable of doing were stupid and totally unbelievable. I mean hitting a kickflip mctwist off a kicker was kinda ridic in the early games, but when you're front flip-nose-grabbing down a set of stairs, landing in manual and 720 flipping into a pirate ship, I lost faith.

i like the games that has some story in it like thug 1 but thug 2 really went over bored and turned it into a mess. i mean wat are the chances some severly crippled kid would be able to do all those tricks and not get severly hurt or even be able to those moves. i just wish they would make a game like thps 4 and thug 1 combined
