If they were completely backwards compatible, this shit wouldn't be necessary. I love the X-Box, but this is basically an elaborate rip-off. The Wii can play any GC game, the PS3 can play PS2 games, why the frozen hell can't the X-box 360 play ALL the regular X-box games?
Again, no fanboyism here. The X-box 360 is easily my favorite next-gen console, but they are ripping you off.

You point out the PS3 as if it plays all PS2 games, which it doesn't.

One sku doesn't.
60 and 80 play them fine. (Even 20 if you can get one)
Back on topic...
It'll be awesome if they add achievements into the games.

Some of those games, if not all, are all ready on the list of backward compatible games for the 360. I think it's more of a way to get those games for cheap, rather than having to pay current generation prices(and taxes) for last generation games.
The only thing I don't like about it is the fact that it's download only, which will fill up even the 120GB harddrive pretty fast with games designed for 4.7GB DVDs. Granted, most games don't take up the entire disc, as they never do, but even 1.5GB games are still a lot space.

I think it's a great idea, but a 20 gig hardrive is just NOT ENOUGH SPACE for that kind of shit. So I guess I'll stick to buying game disks for now.
