The Black waltz. Best album I have heard this year, excluding with oden on our side.

I have a friend who's really into melo-death and keeps raving about them but I've never bothered to listen to them, or most of the other bands he raves about.

I held out on Kalmah for a good 2 months or so after my friend was saying they were really good. Within a month they were in my top 3 favourite bands and still are after at least half a year. All four albums are excellent, but I'm not 100% for They Will Return.

Keep an eye on them, they have an album coming out in early '08, or so it would seem.

Kalmah owns, really really good band.

the Black Waltz and Swampsong are the best albums.



edit: I love skyfire too.

the threads in the music forum make me happy today.

i actually also discovered them about a week or 2 ago and yes, they do indeed rock some serious ass

if you like them, try Blind Guardian, Wintersun, and Skyfire

a good album to start with is They Will Return

I have all of blind guardians albums, a wintersun album, and a skyfire album already.

I also have all 4 of kalmah's albums

Odd, i just got the black waltz and swamplord the other day and literally just turned them on when i saw this thread. Kalmah is GREAT they rly caught my ear when my friend wasl istening to them and hada get some of their stuff...and i was not disapointed.

I listened to The Black Waltz earlier, and I can say that I will definitely be downloading more of their stuff. Very good album.
