ARE YOU FUCKIN KIDDING?!?! they actually created a catagory for this? glad i didnt bother watchin. this years more fucked than usual.

although i gotta say the picks werent too terrible this year but jezuz that last catagory microsoft might as well said "we didnt get enough awards so we bought another one"

and dirt sucked for the driving catagory. woulda taken forza, motorstorm, or hell anything else over that game

Just shows out of touch the world is with gaming. Its become a massive industry and the media industry has taken a dive straight in and fucked everything up.

Wow, that list sucks for the most part. Bioshock was overrated by everybody. I played the game for around 10 hours and got bored cause in all honesty, it wasn't that good. I enjoyed CoD 4 and Crysis though and thought that both of those games deserved to be more rewarded.

Yeah, I've nothing else to say.

I think Call of Duty 4 should be GOTY tbh.

1. Its a brilliant game.
2. Its fun
3. It has multipler
4. That multiplayer owns

and lastely

5. It's more available PC, 360 & PS3 can all play it, it hasn't gimped itself to one platform.

Eh, Bioshock. It's like they read some reviews the morning before the VGA started. It really wasn't all that great. Certainly not best game great.

I'm just glad CoD4 snagged Best Shooter and Halo 3 didn't win.

Thank you. All this talk about CoD 4 made we want to go play. I played for about 15 minutes and I got a BSOD though. My freaking processor is being a bitch and overheating a lot lately. I need a new heatsink.

DiRT is fucking garbage.

It's nothing but pretty graphics (with a shitload of bloom everywhere) and crappy, mediocre gameplay.

It doesn't even have multiplayer!

It's absolute garbage!

Forza Motorsport 2 is a much better game, yet DiRT somehow manages Best Racing game of the year. :preachon:

I see that Harmonix/"MTV" games developed "Rockstar" which beat out Guitar Hero III a few times. Spike TV and MTV are both owned by "Viacom", coincidence...I think not.

cod4 multiplayer owns and thats the main reason i love this game. and very true about the last thing you said, never really thought about that.
im also happy that bioshock took some awards. during the time i was playing it i was sick of mp games and was in need of a great sp experience and it really delivered.

Its the reason Crysis isn't sweeping awards, there is hardly anyone that can play it. Shit 3/4 of the reviewers out there don't even have a PC that can play it.

If everyone could play it they would be pissing themselves in amazment. However since its got such a small install base and most importantly "its not on a console" most of the voters don't even know it excists.

Upon reflection, I'm actually suprised at how many of these I agree with.

Bioshock kicked a ton of ass but it had no multiplayer, super weak.

Let me guess, you don't have a computer that can play the game. You also have only played it for tops of 30 minutes at a friends house and are pissed off because you can't afford to get a PC that can use it so you just make yourself think that it's a bad game so you don't want to get it and don't have to be pissed anymore.

wait it was an action game? weird i would have though assassins creed would have won that title. Sure its repetitive but it did do something new, i mean there are other games that use the whole gravity thing (maybe not to the same extent) but there are some XBLA titles that have that, like those marble games :D

and wasn't DiRT with like Micrsoft Game Studies or something?

Pitiful ...

People who bash Crysis are fucking jokes, where exactly does it fall short you ask? They go 'oh you need a fucking supercomputer to run it' ... thats not the games fault, thats your fucking fault. Get a job you lazy piece of shit, realise that not only does your expensive pc play Crysis beautifully, you are also set for the next 5 years. Any other game that comes out will run 60+ fps at full rez & Grap ... guess thats a bad thing huh?
