I wonder why Mr. SelfDestruct hasn't talked about this little indie gem. If you can bear with the somewhat kiddie atmosphere, holy shit it's a soothing fuck win experience. Nice change of pace from all the shootan gaems this year.

I've actually heard about this one, and I'm quite interested. I haven't played it yet though.

I haven't been playing many games recently. My fan bit the dust on my PC, and I'm waiting for a replacement. It's an old propriety fan from Dell :banghead:, so I have to wait for one to be shipped directly. Went behind Dell's back though, saved about 70% on the price. Dell wanted 90 bucks, the company that makes the fan sells it for 20 + 5 S&H.

Speaking of games that follow the Metroidvania style play, you should check out one called Soldexus. Probably the best game I've ever seen made from Game Maker (which doesn't say much, but stick with me here).

There's enough of a story to set up the game, and it's nothing great, but it's humorous. The art style is kinda lacking, but charming in it's own way. But the gameplay is solid.

Also, the game will rape you through your pants with it's difficulty. It annoyed me that I had to smack the first enemy I saw about 20 times to kill him, but stick with it and you're in for a treat.

The game is bad ass; got the full version. What really threw me off was the puzzles. There is no actual clue about the first puzzle at all. You must, and I mean MUST, look at everything! Don't pass by this game for its graphics. It is worth it!

The action in this game is very intense. Boss battles are also a puzzle as well...

2guys and 2years = equals a very outstanding game.
So far I like it!

I've been curious about getting it, but I'm not sure if I want to drop 30 dollars on it. I mean the only real reason it costs so much is because of the fact that it won some bullshit award. I'll give the demo a run and if I like it I'll purchase the game.
