Whoever Knows/Guesses/Remembers the name of this game is my hero.

It's an old game that I played probably 10 or so years ago. You start
out with one planet and you have to mine resources from other
uninhabited planets. Then you can sell the resources that you collect
in yellow cargo pods to friendly or neutral planets to upgrade your
ship. You can buy cargo, energy, and fuel pods (I think - they're
yellow, pink, and blue respectively), as well as many weapons,
shields, a guide book, hyperdrive, and some weapons of mass
destruction like plague bombs and planet destroyer bombs (the plague
bombs are little green dots and the other ones are red rings). There
are other ships trying to colonize or win the allegiance of the other
planets (through donating to the infrastructure of the planet). The
point of the game is to destroy all of the ships of all the other
players. You fly your ship around and shoot with the mouse, and
everything is 2D. I hope someone can remember the name of this
game!! In the beginning you can choose the style of you ship
including a smiley face.
