The hate? Whats going on?!

Ever since the 'add comment' option was added to the eBaum posts i've been thinking what a bad idea it really was. Most of the comments posted are either racist, facist or insulting people, just because these posters feel tough behind their keyboards.

I'm just curious as to why all these posts never seem to be removed, or the posters dealt with. I did a little test yesterday, posted comments linking to a random site, on a fe videos and pictures uploaded that day, and voila, ithin 15 minutes the account was banned. Yet we see these people like Thulsu posting jew hate on everything, without punishment, countless others using phrases like ''stupid fuckin niggers'' if theres even just a black person in the background, or others going all out on racist insults against mexicans, europeans and the likes. And these people, and their comments remain.

I did another test, posted an anti-american comment on a couple of vids, and guess what, banned againa! ta-ta!

Is america really this big asshole who dosent care less about anyone else other than people who are born in the same country as themselves, will insult everyone else around them, support it, and then only remove anything from the forums that are anti-american? This is happening all the time : /

I'm not big on racism myself, I don't think it serves much of a purpose. Not so much because it insults people (do you REALLY want people banned just for insulting each other???), but because when you deal in generalities like that, you are bound to be wrong much of the time. Like the way YOU made a determination about all of America based on some comments you saw on EBW. Now THAT'S dealing in generalities! And wrong.

Every time I read the comments, they are filled with the stupidest shit. I'm really suprised they are still there.

It is true, though. I think it's mostly because the peole who make those comments are little 12 year olds that think their all big and bad because they can type a couple swear words. *sigh*
But also, it's not a problem in just eBaum's World, it's all over. In forums, in MMO games, chat rooms, etc, etc...

And honestly, sweetheart... It's not just Americans. Of course different countries have the same problem with their people fighting eachother. It's just something that happens in the world.

Yeah, there's a lot of random hate going on. But that's gonna happen in any situation where you are anonymous. You can let your dark side come out and not have to deal with any sort of consequence. Don't let it bother you, it's all immature people doing it anyways. Maybe we should push for more folks to use the comment ratings....so stupid comments don't show up.

i know, i wish they would take the comments off too because no one posts in the forums anymore. and the forums were NEVER filled with that much stupid racist shit. (i'm not being sarcastic, they really weren't.)

You all know that you can turn off the comments part of the website if you log in and change them in your account settings, don't you. I hated the comments part at one time too, but after a while of not having them, I grew curious of what others were saying about certain videos and pictures and turned them back on. Turn them off if you like.
