Mainly I'm just sick of my 360 breaking, and I have over a week off work over christmas and I'd like to play some video games. :)

If you're buying a system just to play some games over a week, the PS3 is definitely not the way to go. Get a Wii.

Actually, it's mainly for GTA4, Haze and to play a couple of other multi-platform games without the worry of the console dying at any second. Besides I owned a Wii for 2 days before I took it back to the store due to it sucking beyond belief.

I got the 60g and I'm happy with it. All my friends with 360's would rather play it than the 360.

Really depends on what you're going to do with it and if you need those extra USB slots. I dont store a bunch of stuff on mine. And do you have old PS2 games? If not, probably just want to go with the 40gig.

Your best best now would be to check out the Sunday ads early in the morning and seeing if there are any good deals like "free so and so with purchase of a ps3." I doubt you'll find anything below the normal price but you may be able to get some goodies with it. I would have been more helpful but anything I tell you now would end up being invalid in 20 minutes.

Well I got the 40gb with Assassin's Creed and Rainbow 6 Vegas for £340 ($680). Seemed to be the best deal around. I don't think you can get higher than a 40gb over here in England anyway, well I didn't see any.

Gamestation has good deals. The 360 deal I'm (hopefully) getting for Christmas had the Premium console, an extra wireless controller, Halo 3 and Forza 2 for £250.

No I heard that because radiators are hot it cancels out the heat given off by the 360, meaning it gets cooler. Also I heard to spray cold water into the ventilation holes.
