Up by one in the 2nd quarter with a kickoff return TD, and lost one starter to injury already. This thread was a good idea.

It's an inalienable fact...
There will be no such thing as a perfect season (aside from 72 of course)...
Though the Pats have come back before...
We'll see...

It was a good idea and still is an outstanding idea, we are still winning you cunt. Now don't get me wrong, I like the Patriots and I'm not one of those assholes that just wants them to loose because they are undefeated, it just happens to be that the Giants are and have always been my favorite team since I was about 4 years old. The Pats are still the best team in the league no discussion but I want my Giants to win here, it really is a meaningless game though. Both are in the playoffs as it stands right now but the Pats want to go undefeated and they Giants want to be the ones to stop that from happening.

4th quarter, Pats ball. Two more records left to break. If Tom Brady throws the next TD to Moss who keeps the ball?

1. Why does it sound like everyone at the game is cheering for the Pats?
2. Who keeps the record ball??

Even though my Giants didn't win I couldn't be more proud, that game really showed how a true team plays, on both sides. Pats still best team in the league, but the Giants really showed what they had, and I think the whole Nation sees what I've been seeing all year in them now. Tell you what though, if Pats want to do ANYTHING in the playoffs they CANNOT be giving up 35 points, thats just fucking simple. Good job, 16-0-0 regular season, but that really doesn't mean shit if they lose in the playoffs or the super bowl, they now have to prove who is the better team, Pats or Dolphins. Anyone else besides me think the Giants are among the better teams in the NFL? Especially with all the injuries they have had happen, I mean loosing Jeremy was a big fucking loss.

I don't think they are one of the best teams in the NFL. They're top 8 but not top 5.... I just think Eli is too inconsistent and their corners aren't good enough but that front 7 is damn good and I'd like to see them completely healthy in the playoffs and see what they can do.... they could make it interesting

close game, the interception thrown by manning was a killer.
Like they said though, if pats lose in the playoffs/super bowl.. season wont mean anything.

Both teams played well but the Patriots came off with the win.
It was a good game all around. That interception that Eli threw, however, was definitely a killer.
Oh well, the Giants will demolish the Bucs next week.

No, I see this game as an aberration for the Giants. This was Eli's best game of the season by far, would anyone be surprised if next week he throws 4 INTs and costs his team the game? Sure the Giants are one of the top 12 teams in the league but they're not an elite team and they're really not much different than 70% of the teams in the league. 8-8 caliber team that ends up around 10-6 or 6-10 depending on good or bad luck.

Now the Giants have even more pressure to win next week. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying "I told you so," I actually wanted them to play hard today, but all those who said they should rest their starters today are going to have a field day on the sports talk shows. The Giants were in a really tough position, if they don't play hard, they get criticized and if they do play hard, they are going to get criticized anyway. To quiet all the critics, the Giants will have to win the Superbowl this year.

call me crazy but thats not really out of the question as I see it, not in anyway.
EDIT: also the giants do have one of the best defenses in the league no doubt in my mind, the D line is fucking insane this year.

I have to agree with you on that one.....Eli's only consistency comes when he's got Shockey. I don't see anyone getting past those two teams in the NFC. It will make for a great NFC championship, hopefully Romo has one of those games like two weeks ago against Philly. Lets face it, no matter how good of a season they had Favre has the post season experience over Homo.
Well I'm off to watch my Texans beat the Jags, who should be sitting Fred Taylor (hes an old man and they need him if they wanna have any chance in the playoffs) 8-8!!!!!!!! (my preseason prediction btw)

He obviously has the experience, but our D shut down favre when we played them, and romo lit up their D (even though charles woodson was out).
It will be a good game.

Yup. And it was proven in yesterday's game. They were putting a hell of a lot of pressure on Brady.
As a Giants fan, I'm very happy with yesterday. Even though they lost, that was one of the best games I've seen this season.

Or Tarvaris Jackson. Major lulz from that guy. Actually today he played fairly well in the second half, almost pulled it off against Denver.
