Old news and almost everyone has probably seen this, but I don't see a thread for it, I was going to post it yesterday but no Internet...

passion or weakness? hmmmmm... Manipulation. Shes seen as being being a phony and of course wants to change that... In the only way she knows how.
She's ahead in the polls by 4% as of now, with 1/4 reporting. Which surprised me, considering Obama's impressive jump in the polls there. Mccain has it won and Paul is at 8.4 to Guiliani's 9.1. If that other 3/4 has more independents, that might change though.

Certainly possible. I heard on CNN that Hillary had been told right before this speech that she was not acting passionately enough and that Obama had her trumped in this regard.
Plus, she is known for asking people to submit questions that she has given them and all sorts of bullshit like purposely and fakely bursting into random spurts of laughter to show that she has a good sense of humour.
Anyone see earlier that some "hecklers" at a Clinton Rally yelled "IRON MY SHIRTS" and held up signs that said "Iron my shirts"? Who else has a sneaking suspicion that that was staged, considering the fact that Clinton immediately responded with "Ahhh, the remnants of sexism..."

You're right. She's beat out Obama in New Hampshire. Looks like people might have fallen for the crocodile tears...

I don't think it was the tears. I have family in NH and I think there just wasnt enough people willing to vote for someone different (Obama). They felt safer with Clinton.
Now, the test will be the southern states and Michigan.

I heard since obama was on a good streak that they had to step up security in case of an assassination attempt.

Hillary cant do anything to please anyone it seems. If she is strong and stoic in her speeches she is regarded as cold as soon as she shows some emotion she is called phony.

I think she's phony when she's being strong and stoic, when shes being emotional, and just about every other time she opens her mouth. She didn't get to where she is in politics by being open, honest, and refusing to play off of public perception.

True, the liberal media is pretty rough on her.

Do you think that any of the other front runners are any less likely to shamelessly pander than Hillary? Because lets be real, just about all politicians are like that.

Hillary won in NH because of the pity vote. You all know what happens when women see another woman cry or about to cry.

Indeed. Her marriage to Bill was a complete political stunt to get her ahead in the game, and only when Bill announced he was going to run for president, she decided to put Clinton in her name.

why do so many people here dislike her?The internet in general hates her, for plenty of valid and poor reasons. She's pro war, she's a woman, she's married to Bill Clinton, she's a Democrat, she pushed for legislation to ban video games (not sure if the new carding rule is directly because of her ), she wants to socialize medicine yet more, she's a big name mainstream politician who the Republicans have been flinging shit at forever, ect ect ect. She fits into the mold of what people on the internet tend to hate just as well as Ron Paul fits what they like.

Honestly, no. But, they won't be using the crying game. I can just see Hillary at New Hampshire look at Bill and say, "Get your ass out there and pretend to cry. I've already told Elton John he can have gay sex in the Lincoln Bedroom again..."
why do so many people here dislike her?
She just came in first-place in Judicial Watch's Top Ten Most Corrupt Politicians (http://www.judicialwatch.org/judicial-watch-announces-list-washington-s-ten-most-wanted-corrupt-politicians-2007).

I didn't say it was bad in my post, I just listed it as a reason why people on the internet often don't like her. Young gamers have an intense reaction against that sort of thing.
Although, now that you bring it up, it could be considered unconstitutional. Does the government get to decide what games are and aren't appropriate for your kids? How is this any different from them banning sale of books with content the government doesn't like to kids? Let the parents work to keep their children from being exposed to that stuff if they care.
EDIT:Forget that reply if you read it heather. I'm half asleep right now and misread your post.

I got a chuckle out of that but you kind of dodged the question. I know Romney wouldn't have cried to try to beat Mccain. I doubt the thought crossed his mind and it I doubt it would have worked anyways. They are all politicians though. They got where they are by shamelessly playing off of public perception, and they all pander in their own ways. If you can't see it as well on the republican side, you are either biased or it is working on you.
Well, of course I'm biased...we're all biased. Sorry if I skated around your question. Yes, I believe all politicians are apt to using similar tactics to gain popularity.
That's why I'm hoping Fred Thompson will make it to the primaries. He, unlike all the other so-called Republican candidates, remains unswayed in his stance, irregardless of his audience.
And, despite Fox News' bias against him, we can't dispute the fact that we'd like to his lovely wife (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u14TtAxtzrs&eurl=http://stoptheaclu.com/), as our First Lady. :)

actually she changed her name when Bill ran for re-election as governor of Arkansas.
You're right. She's beat out Obama in New Hampshire. Looks like people might have fallen for the crocodile tears...
Before the primaries she was ahead by double digits, now she barely missed a defeat (a few points, right?) Obama closed the gap big time, I don't like how no one is giving him credit for that.
