Are the new halo 3 maps worth it?

Personally i dont think the maps worth ten dollars.

Why?

Rats-Nest and standoff just don't appeal to me game play wise. So all i would probably be doing is messing around in foundry, which doesnt really seem worth a sixth of the games retail price to me. And the foundry "sandbox" idea sounds like something that should have shipped with the game to begin with.

Considering halo 3 has eleven maps, not of which are enough of closed-quarters maps and call of duty 4 has like 20. You can argue that call of duty 4 multilplayer maps use similar geometry as the campaign mode so there not really "new" environments and you could say that infinity ward cut corners in that respect. But it doesn't detract from fun in either mode regardless.

My point is that i don't really think the heroic map pack is worth it. The map pack should have been a freebie, in my opinion

This isn't a competition about who has the most money, i know ten dollars isn't a lot to spend but its about a personal sense of worth.

I would hope not. It's just that now Bungie isn't working exclusively for Microsoft, so there is a potential for the next Halo's to go multiplatform. Of course I'm not guaranteeing you anything.

As to what they will do with the series, well, there's Halo Wars coming out in 2008. For those who don't know, it's basically RTS style Halo. After that, I don't think we'll be seeing Halo 4, but I think they're going to do something like what they did with Metroid and Metal Gear. Metroid turned into Metroid Prime. Metal Gear turned into Metal Gear Solid. Halo is likely to do something like that instead of just a sequel (they can't really even do one, because the fight was finished and SPOLIERthe cheif dies)

I'm not playing the jack ass xbot, I'm just letting you know that your precious console also charges for extra content.
