So in the recent discussion of old games, I've bought Dino Crisis 2 off of ebay. This game is amazing, unfortunately it isn't scary as the first one is, and the main character Regina doesn't seem to be so much of a badass as before. The story is also not as in depth, but the gameplay is definetely amazing, if only RE had this type of gameplay. Anyway, I started playing yesterday for an hour, stopped and played again today. After 3 hours... I was done.... o.O; I beat the game in literally 4 hours and 5 minutes... The game is so short, and there are so few items to get to continue. Here, I'll even break down the game by EVERYTHING you do and get to continue.
Beginning
Go into storage place for key
Key opens safe with another key, character is locked in
Other character gets key
Switch key for another, release partner
You have to look for battery so your ship can run
Go into previously closed area to find battery
Get onto ship to another part of island, only to find note to to have to go back to get a key that previously wasn't there
Go underwater just to get another key
Key opens door to city which just leads to events that lead to the end of game
The End
Literally, I just listed all of the main items you get to advance and that's it. So whilest the story is short, has just about the smallest point ever in a game, and the fact the game is so short, for 13 bucks, this game was a definite buy. The game is amazing on every level, I will try to find the 1st one somewhere and give that a spin. The story is alot more in-depth, I know that much, it does not play as well as the second and is alot more RE style, scarier as well. Either way, if you like old school Ps games that really are the best of the best, give it a try. Amazing game =]
