And I'd rather play a game like Planescape: Torment at 640x480 than many RPGs which come out today, especially if they're just hack 'n' slash clones.

99% of Movie Based Games (Only exceptions that come to mind are King Kong and Riddick).

Halo 1-2-3 (The games themselves aren't bad, they're just not even close to as good as people say they are).

Most knockoff games (True Crime, Street Racing Syndicate, etc).

99% of RPG's (KOTOR 1-2 were the only ones I could play through).

And i used to like halo and i put about 600 games into multiplayer but now i just hate it for some reason. It just takes so damn long to kill people, and if they shoot you .0001 earlier then you shoot them your dead. Its pretty glitchy too, sometimes people will run through my grenades and then end up killing me. But yet with the set in stone killing style they shouldnt even get close if my grenades damage them. And yes, of course shooting them in the head and in the stomach area do the same damage. Atleast im pretty sure it does, with an assault rifle im talking about.

Someone should start a thread about which of the most popular games you like the least based on the games mentioned in this thread, and make it so that people can select more than just one game. I'd do it, but I'm fat, and I have to eat.

its true. i do seem to hate a lot of games because it does focus on graphics..which are pretty much fps games.. which are pretty much boring as fuck and i only play halo3 because its a little bit less realistic then most fps.

What PsiRedEye said. The first Metal Gear Solid was great at the time, but the second one had such a convoluted plot line that it rivaled the matrix sequels (with one of the worst main characters ever conceived of), and buy the time part 3 came out I was getting more out of the Splinter Cell series.

Metal Gear Solid 4 does look pretty fucking awesome though, and provided they shy away from so many goddamn cutscenes it could easily be the best game in the franchise.

Counter Strike- Played it, for several hours. I gave it a solid chance. Hated every minute of it.

Sports games- Just find them boring as hell.

Gran Turismo- I mean, really? This is supposed to be the best racer out there? The only good part was the customization.

Games that are too fucking easy- I'm sick of the shit they come out with today. People rave about some of these titles, and they're easy as shit. Give me a challenge. More Ninja Gaiden, F-Zero GX, and God of War's God difficulty. The type of stuff that's hard as nails, but fair.

I never thought so. Every time I died in that game, it was because of my own failure, not because of some cheap reason. It's a game where the player's skill directly relates to their success.

Sure, there was that one spot where you had to kill about 20 ninjas, 2 demon dog things, and the giant tentacle monster before you could save again. But if you died, it was because you screwed up. The odds were definitely stacked against you, so it wasn't fair in that regard (of course, every game has the odds stacked against you, that's what makes it fun), but you were also quite capable of getting through that area.

i tried the first and second MGS, didn't even get halfway through, got bored, just didn't like it. the bosses were pretty neat though
it's not the stealth, i'm okay with splinter cell.
