It's probably in options somewhere?
It's the same thing over again. Halo 3 isn't any different from Halo 2. Just a different scenario, better graphics, and viola.

The hells wrong with that?

When you watch the Terminator trilogy, do you get angrypants by the last one? Is Arnold not cool enough because he's the same as the first one? Would you of rather the Terminator in Terminator 3 have been played by Boy George?

I was playing for a couple hours tonight and I totally agree that it's basically the same game again with different levels and weapon tweaks. According to bungie.net I played 3500 games of Halo 2 ( me and brother combined) and I don't think I will ever get close to even breaking 1000 games on Halo 3. It's fun, but it just isn't as revolutionary as Halo 2 was.

I'm afraid that I'm going to have to move on to COD4 because that is what all my friends are playing on live. No one wants to play Halo 3 anymore. Co-op campaign is fun but it would be much more enjoyable if there were more levels.

halo 3 is alot different from halo 2... but ya i dont play it as much as halo 2. halo 2 was like the perfect competitive game, but halo 3 gets annoying. bad hitboxes, way too many weapons, shitty maps, just seems like it requires more luck than skill. its still fun to play though, one of the funnest games out there to play with friends over xbox live.

Well, the critic score isn't from Gamespot, it's from other sites. I'm pretty sure 9.5 > 9.0. That is the Gamespot review, we're not talking about anything else here.

bought the game was pretty excited this was my first step into the halo series and i hear a lot of good things. lets put it this way im pissed that i didnt get ace combat 6 instead. got to to the beginning of the 2nd lvl and said screw this/

gameplay: if you like running and gunning and hip shooting this is for you you dont even have a sights option unless the weapon has a scope. Yet it is confusing when trying to get to a objective since you have a minimap that only shows friends and foes not your objective. It is still oddly amusing how many fun and funny ways you can kill your enemies and see them run in fear from you when you let losse on their buddies.

graphics: pretty good.....not much else to say lol.

audio: nice audio with scary orchestra music. it is fun to hear your enemies shout commands and reports of your posistion to their friends.

xbox live: has some fun but not as fun or intense as call of duty 4 or other shooters.

this is my review of halo 3 dont really care if you hate my guts for sayin this game sucks.

How intelligent. I believe that person is the next great American author. And this proves that game reviewers opinions is better than user's shitty opinions. By the way, that guy gave it a 1/10.

I just think its really over rated. I don't see why its so awesome, when they come out with the next Halo, they should change it up some, rather than just a different story and graphics...

Like Team Fortress 2 for example. TFC was fun in its day, then TF2 came out and it was much more than just better graphics. The game play seems more fast paced and the classes have more of a specific role than just to blast people. Like medics aren't good for killing people really(just healing people), and pyros are good for rushing in and burning up some of the defense, or keeping offense backed off. TF2 just offered something a little different to FPS fans.

To me, Gaylo is just another FPS thats the same old bullshit when they make a new one.

Most 10/10 have valid reasonings to back it up. Personally, I wouldn't give it a perfect score, the only game that deserves that is Ocarina of Time. If you want to say 1/10 that's fine but you need valid reasonings. What are the reasonings in that one guy I quoted? He said graphics were good, audio was good, gameplay was bad, and xbox live was good. So how does that equate to a 1/10? Hell I'd say it equates to at least a 7/10, that's a C-! The only reason he made that is to piss people off.

Yes, I can make an argument towards that. I've never said Halo
was a piece of shit, and if I did, I'm sure it was to be taken with
a grain of salt. I would give Halo an 8/10. It has pretty good
graphics (though inferior to COD4), good audio (inferior to COD4's
explosions and battlefields), good variety on XBL (inferior to COD4).
I would give COD4 something more along the lines of a 9.5.

As you may have noticed, the only complaint towards COD4 was the
short campaign.

I don't know a single person in real life that doesn't hate it for that reason.
When I first got Halo 3, all my friends loved it. There were so many noobs mixed in with the regulars we felt likes gods. "This game is fucking great"
Their attitudes changed as fast as they started getting pwned. Hell, even I had trouble even though I had about 10,000 online matches of Halo 2 under my belt within the last calender year. Whenever I get a good team I know I've already lost because the other team will just set up their own version of Normandy and not engage in a single fair fight if they have the choice. Oh, I forgot, that's skill/tacticalness and not just some noobs that know they'd lose the kind of straight forward yet tactical gameplay I bought this fucking game for:rollseyes I could be an even bigger douche but I've always been the competitive type that doesn't enjoy taking candy from a baby. Don't get me wrong, a game should be about tactics and not just holding your reticule on people, but if you try to defend these cocksuckers I'll rip off your arm off and beat you with it. People say Halo is just a run and gun...lol. Well it's off to Call of Duty and the first noob I see is dead in 3 shots :wave:

in halo if your very good your K/D ratio would be high 1s or around 2 flat, the best possible without camping all the time is low 2s.. in call of duty theres people with 3.5-4.0 K/D ratios. one game you could go 40-15, the next you could go 20-25, IMO its better like that then going basically the same every game like halo

I got halo 3 for christmas, played it for about 2 hours then thought it was shit, well it's not that it's shit. It's probably because I haven't got xbox live apparently its the bollocks on xbox live but I don't have it so I'm left with the single player. The single player is basically just another FPS walk down a corridor shoot some aliens, walk down another shoot some aliens. I think it would of been good before I played cod but I just find it boring.

I sold it and bought dead rising that's alot better.

I like halo. One thing I dislike is that the needler. I got no problem with it being no longer dual wieldable, but I don't like it when Bungie didn't re-design the needler so it appears un dual-wieldable. They should re-design the needler to the size of a common two handed firearm. Thats about it really.

the needler is great in halo3, i used to hate it..but now its awesome.

especially in the pit when everyone is racing for the rocket launcher..haha noobs.

WTF? First of all there are plenty of FPS's out there that are excellent on single player. A lack of a multiplayer option doesn't make a FPS bad by any means.

Second Bioshock is far from sucking dick. You probably never even played it...whereas I played Halo 3 and can honestly say it lacks in all areas where a game like Bioshock excels. The only thing it's lacking is multiplayer, but honestly I could care less about playing online with some whiney ass kids, so I never even bother with multiplayer.

I'm sorry but I don't see the excitement of listening to squeaky voiced kids shouting at each other and calling you a cheater every time you kick their ass. I used to play multiplayer online all the time, but got bored of it real quick. It's just a gimmick that they add to games. That's all. Sorry to piss on your parade.

You can mute their voices dontcha know. (on Halo anyway, and it only takes a few button presses)

I disagree that online multiplayer is just a gimmick. It was back in the day but they're putting more thought into it now. However I also disagree with Igneosis because single player FPS's can be fun. I thought Bioshock was fun even though it didn't have any online multiplayer.
