NHL 08 Skill Stick 1-on-1 Deking

Anybody else not able to figure out the skill-stick deking in NHL 08 for 360?

Every time I try to do it in a shootout the puck just drifts away from me and my turn is lost. Every time I try to do it in a game, I lose the puck. I just can't figure it out for the life of me.

What do you mean? That's how you initiate the one-on-one deke, isn't it?

no, thats how you push the puck past defenders

you just move the right thumb stick in different directions
