Okami 2 and Why You Should Buy It

Okay you ungrateful bastards, Okami is making a sequel. If you're thinking "WHATS OKAMI" just leave now, and also kill yourself while you're at it. Even though you assholes don't deserve it, Okami 2 is coming to the Wii and it is your sworn duty to buy it. Every year the video game industry cranks out platters of homogenized pap like Spiderman 3 and sells a shitload, while great games like Okami have to fight for scraps, all because you're too "good" to go out and buy the damn game. Thanks to you it's impossible to find Okami anywhere. Even though the reviews were epic, it faced abysmal sales.

If you want to support developers making Grade A games for you, don't be such a fucking tightwad. You've been given the chance to show Okami that you love it, please don't let that chance go to waste.

The only information I have on Okami 2 is this: it is coming out for the Wii in 2008. You better start saving because this is a game you need to have, especially if you also want Brawl and Mario Kart.

That's about it, I'll leave you guys to do the rest. Just please support developers and buy it so I won't have to kick everybody in the nuts.

precisely...i limit myself to weekend only gaming now so when i do play i need to make it count....why am i gonna waste my time playing with a gimick? the 360 owned my wii...then i sold my wii cuz i never used it and got enough to buy a ps3.....either of the two i'd rather play than waste my time swinging and jumping about.

It's just a port. I don't recall ever reading that they were making a sequel. It wouldn't make sense to either because of how the story progressed.

I bought it new for the PS2. I'd say it's pretty high up there with the best games made. It gave what everyone was craving: innovation and a focus on gameplay. Most people ignored it.

Wii has some really cool and interesting games, especially if your not a tightwad that believes that, once you reach a certain age, you no longer should be able to like certain games. I'm over 16... I guess I'll have to never hang out with friends and play Super Smash Brothers, Wii Sports, Rayman... etc. I have to play Halo 3 and shit just b/c it seems more mature and therefore, better.
Wii is cool to play as a single player console but it's also way better to play as a multiplayer party console with actual people next to you. You probably wouldn't know that though since your too old to have friends.
I'm not going to brag about how I didn't buy my Wii. I'll just be thankful for receiving it as a gift from my mum.

the reason wii sold so many right off the bat and then rises and falls in demand is because of kids....

initially it was most people...the wiimote was mysterious and people had never experienced gaming in that way...then the wiser adults realized they had just walked into a "tarp." and sold their wii's faster than you can say billy blanks tae bo workout. there are clearly more kids out there than adults in this age and thusly since kids are drawn to gimicks more readily than adults, the sales of the wii are higher. but weird...as more and more people find out what the 360 and ps3 is all about, the more and more their sales start to catch up with the sales of the wii....

lastly...the parents of these kids (especially the ones who don't game) are more likely to justify spending 230 bucks (although some fell victim to the holdays and were charged 500 bucks for the console rofl rofl rofl) on a wii platform than a more expensive 360 or ps3 due to the money issue alone.

I think you're kind of missing the point. The Wii does have alot of kiddy games out there (but frankly you'd be pretty biased to not see any fun in Super Mario Galaxy, or Wii Sports). It has some mature games like Umbrella Chronicles (Resident Evil game) and No More Heroes (from what I hear, a cross between Viewtiful Joe and Assassin's creed) but that's not really the point. By the way don't make fun of me for liking kiddy games or anything, I own a 360 as well.

Hell to the no...the "God character" for SSB for N64 was easily Captain Falcon, and that's the reason I wasn't Captain Falcon it just pissed me off because he was too good.

I guess all I can say to prove my point is that I've heard Captain Falcon, Kirby, Samus, and Jigglypuff (yes, Jigglypuff) be called the "God characters" so if there's a dispute over which one is cheap or unfair, then none of them are, eh? And also I still raped with DK on the GC version, so if they really toned him down that much then I would've had to switch characters according to your argument.
