If it wasn't for soccer, I would be a fat tub of lard. It's the only thing that keeps me somewhat in shape.

What are these "people" You speak of? Sorry i'll stop now.

I'm doing a football coaching course at the minute, so i'm doing at least 3 -4 times a week all day.

Seriously...every time the topic of football/soccer comes up, practically every English guy I've ever met, heard, read, etc. starts in with the same played football/soccer semantics "joke" that has never been compelling or funny or anything.

Why would you call a flaming stick you carry around for light and a small electronic device with a bulb by the same word? etc. etc. There's plenty of fucked up shit that both cultures say, get over it.

The OP already cleared it up.
This was a different kind of humour. Imagine 4savo4 stading in the middle of a football pitch in full kit saying, "Football? I dunno, go and ask him over there.", it's known as sarcasm.

Anyway It was called Rugby Football when we lent it to you. Where did the Rugby bit go?

It's guaranteed that every football(soccer) topic made on this site will turn into some sort of fight.

It's the same as us playing "american football" and calling it something completely different. I can guarantee half you yanks would be pissed.

Anyway, i could care less.

I used to play shit loads, lads n dads, sunday league. Started in a local club, and gave up. I was a forward, but i kinda lost my touch when i ot a bit older for some shitty reason. I could be earning 50k a week now :(

Edit: We do play it American football actually. It's called Touch rugby...

"Couldn't" it's fucking "couldn't care less", if you could care less that means you care.

Anyway, I've invented this great game called 'Basketball' who wants to come and play.

I've been playing soccer since I could walk. If I'm not at school or working I'm playing soccer or wanting to play soccer. No other sport in the world can compare.
