Amon Amarth to release a new album sometime in 08.

Our touring is done for this time, and even though we do have a couple of shows coming up this spring, our main effort will be writing and recording a new album. The plan is to return to Fascination Street Studios in May to record the new album, once again working with Jens Bogren as engineer and producer.

I think it was their best since Once Sent From the Golden Halls. All the albums are good, but I feel like they broke out of the groove they were getting into ever since The Crusher. I'm definitely looking forward to this one.

A lot of (potentially/hopefully) good metal releases slated for this year...

Yeah, Once Sent is my favourite AA album. It's win the whole way through and Lopez's drumming certainly helps things. With their latest, they became more melodic and accessible but actually better IMO. I want to see where they go now.

most definately. older stuff isn't bad at all but i prefer with oden. --versus the world is my all time favorite though. album got me itno them.
