I'm going to school for composition. This guy's music right now is my motivation. Check it out. It's definately worth a listen.
This track is from the movie "The Last Emperor." It's called "Rain."

This next track is called "Energy Flow" and it's a really nice solo piano piece.

This last one is a little different, but all the different sounds seem to work out great together. It's called "Neo Geo."

Wow.. thank you for this! His music is really moving. It's short, beautiful, driving, and to-the-point. Does he do all of the arrangements for strings as well?
Also, where are you going to study composition? I had planned on Berklee for jazz/fusion composition and improvisation, but I went a less costly route.

Yeah, he wrote everything...He's really great at alot of things. He's also an actor, film scorer, and electronic artist.
I'm going to Indiana University of PA. I'm only a freshman so I'm not taking composition courses yet. I have to get theory out of the way, but in the meantime I'm writing my own songs. After I graduate from here, I plan to head down to USC to take up film scoring. It's funny, I was also trying for Berklee and money kept me from doing that.

Yeah that seems to be a common problem. Well, good luck, if your music is anything like his I'm sure you'll be a big success. Keep drawing inspirations from artists like him and that's exactly what will happen.

That was one of my favorites too, but I prefer the solo piano. I don't like the strings in this one. I don't think it's on youtube, but you can find the solo piano on projectplaylist.com. Just type his name in the search bar and it will come up.
