I'm sure this has been done like a thousand times over, but I'll do it anyway. So I'm starting to work out everyday now and the only music that I find that gets me moving and takes my mind off of running is Metal. The only problem is that when I'm not working out I'm not really into metal all that much so I don't know any good bands. I was hoping you guys could give me some bands since I know this is a Metal driven forum. But I'm not really into the metal that has death vocals and growling a lot. I dont mind so much if they scream just as long as thats not all I hear through the song. I'd really like some bands that have a fast catchy beat because that will take my mind more off of running. I like metal bands like In Flames, Shadows Fall, and Killswitch Engage(which you guys probably dont consider that metal but I do). So any help would be awesome and it doesn't have to be all metal. If you know some songs that just have a fast catchy beat then that also works.

i agree with you for the most part. some bands compliment the growling well but when the band is just generic metal and the singer is doing a retard scream then i just cant get into it. i like it when there is screaming complemented by good singing along with good music.

for example:

Howard Jones from KSE is actually quite the good singer, does a nice growl but he can sing really well, even live.

and i know there are a lot of bands where the singers are good

The guy wanted music to work out to. I gave him a band that is one of the most popular for getting people "pumped up." It's extremely fast-paced, has uplifting vocals, etc. Nothing more. No need to get your panties in a bunch.
