There have been pointless threads in this section numerous times, but one spam thread recently lead to a good discussion, so here is a good place to discuss it.

What does the general populace think about gaming as a major time-consuming hobby in general? I myself play video games at least 6 hours a day. Maybe more people are in the same boat, maybe not. Discuss.

When its nice out i can never play games for long, something in my mind just like makes me go outside. But if its bad outside (winter) ill play all day if the game is good enough. My problem lately is for some reason i cant find a game that is worth playing all day for more then a few days. Oblivion was great the first 20 hours, call of duty 4 was great for a while, but other then that i cant get into games much.

Im starting to think playing stupid games like mario and spyro is funner then playing games like gears of war. I always wanted to play online against other people but im not enjoying it as much as i did 4 years ago just trying to beat games.

But either way no console games compare to runescape 1 (the current runescape sucks) or diablo 2, IMO.

Maybe the fact that they're CLASSICS is why you come back to them...

I both hate and like the fact that my days off mostly consist of me and my cousin sitting on the couch playing Rock Band and Halo. But there are times when I get on a major losing streak and I just end up hating all that is life, so I try not to play so much anymore.

It's obvious that I'm not "addicted" and I think that as long as that's the case, it doesn't matter how long I spend on a game as long as I'm having fun.

after about an hour of playing online i start to get bored but if im with friends i can go for ages. The problem i have is that if i play too much then i start to feel really unfit, even though im not, its pretty weird. So i sort of dont like sitting in and playing all day just the thought of it makes me feel unhealthy. Its most likey to do with the fact i play sports and need to stay relatively fit so sitting on my ass staring at a tv screen for hours on eat doesnt do any help

I go through different stages. when I buy a brand new game, I will sit in front of my tv and play it until I beat it. When I dont have a new game to play, I usually play Halo 3 online maybe 2-3 times a day, for about a half-hour each.
