I can't stand them, any FPS that has a console version and a computer version is 1000x better on the PC.

I'm generally a PC gamer, but PC gaming is slowly dying (THANK you so much world of warcraft ) and I've gotten used to playing FPS on consoles. But mouse and keyboard is always the best option for FPS, no exceptions. Need proof? Orange Box.

Joysticks aren't anywhere near as accurate as a good mouse; it takes way too long to even see the person that's shooting at you from behind. It's kind of like playing hockey in the mud, but with the auto-aim cheat that most console FPSs have now, it's like playing hockey in the mud with mommy there to help you.

Of course, joysticks do come in handy, I wouldn't ever want to fly an aircraft with a keyboard and mouse, or attempt to drive without pressure sensitive buttons for gas and brake.

A little off topic but why haven't Sony, Microsoft or Nintendo ever thought of putting a rollerball into their pads?

It won't be as amazing as a mouse however it'll give far more precison ...

The consoles OS system could become far more easier to manipulate, FPS will have far more accurate and sharper targeting, RPG's could have better inventory screens, etc etc etc

The only games where this isn't really needed are racing games and platformers, however you'll still have buttons and sticks to use for that ...

Ah yes Spore...doesn't quite help as much as it used to considering it's also coming to the Wii.

Wow Well Me are you seriously predicting PC gamings downfall? How original of you. I mean you would have though after the Playstation was released that would kill PC gaming ... or maybe after the Playstation 2 or wait maybe teh PS3?

Depends on what kind of FPS. If it's a single player game, then I prefer console. If it's a multiplayer game, then I prefer computers.

FPS on computers are superior. You can pirate them easier.

Cod4 on console is better then on PC, it has global ranking and prestige, also you can skip maps.

every other game i like the same. Keyboard+mouse is better then a controller (simply because its easier) but that doesnt matter when everyones using the same type.

I prefer CoD4 on the 360, it might because I'm so used to it and I've only played it on PC for a few hours.

The funny thing is as soon as consoles use some type of mouse or say one of those wireless pointers they use for smartboards, PC gaming will lose to consoles. But yet... they wait and bank on controllers.

Actually I have. I know my PC can't play Crysis and I don't even think it could play Bioshock well, but I play that shit at my friends house, and true it's fun but with most must own PC titles going multiplatform PC doesn't have the spunk that it used to

Only the multiplatform PC games are far better, immersive, cheaper and patched quicker.

Mods, Maps, extra weapons etc etc are made quicker. Demos and online is free etc etc

Half the games that aren't coming out for the PC are shit anyway.

And see that's the problem, all the good PC games are multiplatform, with the exception of Crysis, The Witcher...and what else?

Wow Well Me are you seriously predicting PC gamings downfall? How original of you. I mean you would have though after the Playstation was released that would kill PC gaming ... or maybe after the Playstation 2 or wait maybe teh PS3?

Wait what? No you've got me all wrong, PC gaming will continue to go strong throughout however many generatiosn of consoles there are, i'm saying it's a a low point right now. No console is going to kill PC, that's just silly. I mean, I'm primarily a PC gamer, so why would i be implying that?

What I like about console FPS is it levels the playingfield and there seems to be less cheating overall.

i like FPS on consoles mainly due to the controller making everything a bit more fluid and 'involving'.
i like PC FPS' as well, but there seems to be a lot of wank associated with it and it can be a bit unintuitive...

If PC gaming is dying, how come i can still join servers full of people on an FPS game that is almost 10 years old on a daily basis? :banghead:
