Hey,
Can someone please tell me; is there a way for me to run copied PS2 games?

I have a 60GB Oceania PS3; bought it 2 weeks after release. I have no linux installed.
ALL PS2 games work on my PS3 (lucky me!).

Help would greatly be appreciated.

if their on a disc, probably just pop them in... if its on your comp... i'd look for a jump drive to stick it in your ps3...

I don't think so, not yet anyways. I have tried a couple ps2 copies that work on a ps2, but not the ps3. I'm pretty sure there might need to be a mod-chip involved, but I'm not one to mess with the inside of a great system. If your computer can handle a ps2 emulator, you can stream it to your ps3 with linux installed. Go to www.streammygame.com and they will have everything you need to install linux, and the streamer server, which allows you to stream any game from your pc(including steam games, like Counterstrike) for free. It is all easy to do, follow it step by step, and make sure you back up the ps3 before you do ANYTHING. PM me if you need help with any of it, I have installed YDL on 4 ps3's now.

No, you cannot run copied PS2 games on the PS3, and it looks like it'll be a long time before it will happen.

Not as far as I know; just buy a PSP because the games are gay on non-PSPs.

itll be awhile before the ps3 gets hacked and allow that to happen. The ps3 has layers upon layers of security from the blu ray drive all the way to the hard drive.
