View Full Version : If Your Car Was Repossessed, What would you do to it to seek your revenge?

Just a hypothetical question worth day dreaming about:
Lets say you had a car and it was repossessed, wrongly, by an idiot bank branch. The mistake was not yours and they took your car. You, being completely fed up with the bank, you decide to pay the 50 bucks to get your stuff out of the car.
While you're at it, you decide to get revenge by ruining the car as a final 'fuck-you' to the bank.
What would you do?
If it were me, I'd take a couple gallons of milk and pour them all out entirely. I'd pour it down the vents, I'd pour it all over the seats, I'd pour it in the oil, the gas tank, every where a liquid can fit. While it's cold now, not much would happen.
You could escape pretty much Scott-free. Lets fast forward a couple months into the DEAD HEAT of SUMMER.
Imagine their surprise. :D :ohnoes:

Can't do that at a repo lot. Try again.

i wouldn't want my car to suffer needlessly so i wouldn't do anything to it, i would just go to the auction where my car was being sold and see who buys it, then stalk them and steal it back, re-tag my car as a more rare version and get it retitled in my name, then i would firebomb the home of the bank manager responsible for kidnapping my car.

Unmount the tires, put a dead fish or two in each, then remount them.

I never want to owe on a car, if I can't buy it outright, I don't need it.

Good thing I'll only ever buy old cars. Pay it all at once and your done forever.

I had something like this happen, when my wife (gf at the time) and I first got together and moved in, I didn't realize she was 3 months behind on payments. 775 dollars owed. I paid 750 dollars and had things set up, and over the phone the guy told us it was 'good faith' and thanked us for showing 'good faith', he just kept saying 'good faith', must have mentioned it like 10 times, and said it was fine, that the 25 dollars would be added to the next payment.
Next day, go outside, the f'ing truck is gone. We thought it had been stolen. No, turns out, it got repo'd. Called the guy up "Oh, yah, sorry, we had already put the order out to repo, that was a mistake, we'll bring the vehicle back to you". 6 hours later, it's 3 in the afternoon, still no truck. Called back, this time, we can't get through to the guy. We keep calling, must have called like 20 times over an hour period. Finally the guy gets on the phone "You aren't getting your truck back" HUH? "You should have thought about treating my people different when you were swearing at them". HUH AGAIN?
Turns out his agency had called my father in law TWELVE TIMES on a Sunday (documented), and my father in law can be a firecracker, downright scary, he has a lot of money, which translates to power, called the police and someone from the cops called that guy up, and started a big situation and got the guy in hot water. Shitty thing is, her father and mother aren't listed on the f'ing loan. I tried telling the guy this and he screams into the phone "YOU WILL NEVER SEE THAT TRUCK AGAIN" and hangs up on me.
Next day, I was at my bank right when it opened, pulled a loan and by 11 a.m. was at the post office sending a certified overnight check to Chrysler for 14,000. The next morning at 9 am we get a call from Chrysler Financial "Oh, there was a misunderstanding, we can refinance, you just need to pay the 500 dollar repo fee" It was everything in my power not to absolutely explode on that guy, but he was from a different part of Chrysler Financial. "No thank you, we've made our decision, send the release form to the reposession agent and we will pick the truck up."
2 days later we get the notice to repossess. They are required by law to send that out, even if the repossession has already taken place. It would normally be an 8X11 form, but someone had taken it, folded it down into about a 1/2" square, and put like 10 staples through it. Really mature. I actually laughed at the completely unprofessional nature of it all.
They dragged their feet on that, spent 10 days getting the release form sent, VIA FAX. Turns out that the first guy we talked to, the liar, lied again about when he sent the repossession order. The repo agents here where we live got the order at NINE PM, a full 6 hours after I paid the guy. It isn't very often where I have felt the need to rip someone's head clean off and shit down their throat, but this was one of those times. I had no ill will towards the repo guys, they were cool, in fact they gave me a copy of the repo order, I had every intention of suing... but my gf would not sign off on that, she wanted to wipe her hands of everything.
So, as far as Chrysler was concerned, the truck was paid off. So at that point we were waiting on the title, as we couldn't retitle the pickup and therefore couldn't drive the vehicle until such time. Chrysler Financial REALLY dragged their feet on that. It took them more than a month to get the title to my bank. One of the senior VP's from my bank said it dealing with them was one of the most irritating things he had ever had to do, and he couldn't believe how they treated his people, "I feel really bad for the both of you" he told us "If this is how they treat someone who is supposed to be in the same business as they are, I can't imagine how bad it was for you. To be honest, I hear a lot of stories from people when they come in, so I take everything with a grain of salt, but what you said seems to be completely valid, what a bunch of assholes" I don't remember the exact conversation, except for that 'what a bunch of assholes' part, because I remember laughing, because what else do you do? I told him yah, but it was just so good to be done with those bastards.
I did report them to the Nebraska Attorney General's office, and we received a report that said there were more than 300 complaints in Nebraska alone about them. And if you look up Chrysler Financial online, you'll find that my story is a dime a dozen. There is no doubt in my mind that those bastards thought my gf wouldn't be able to get the money and they would have sold the truck in another state, and regardless of what they made off of it, lied to us about that and probably said we still owed 10,000 on it.
I have ZERO respect for them. Yes, I know, 90 percent of the reposessions are likely valid, but that doesnt' make up for the rest that are pure bullshit, and I know I'm not the only one who had that happen.

But your going to fuck over some random person who buys the car from the bank, not the bank itself. Do something more immediate that will render the car unsellable.

i had issues with chrysler before, but not their financial department... actually ended up lodging a complaint with the governments department of fair trading and getting their asses kicked all the way down. Chrysler can suck my cock.
OT: they'd have to find my car first :ahhh:

The shitty thing is, they aren't bad vehicles, but Chrysler is just ridiculous when it comes to honoring their warranty. Just one instance, from last night, a guy on our forums, they denied warranty work on a faulty power steering pump, why? Because he has an aftermarket intercooler... WTF?
I don't know if they realize what an opportunity they are missing, great service will bring people back, poor service will drive people to other auto manufacturers. I don't know if this new lifetime warranty is worth a shit or not, remains to be seen.

well, they really need to honour their warranty because a lot of their vehicles break..a lot..
in my case the aircon let go, then there were engine problems (and cooling) that i couldn't figure out myself and figured the dealership could fix it..under warranty. basically they kept giving it band-aid solutions and saying "no it's fine" when i kept coming back.
As soon as the warranty expired the head gasket broke and everything had to be replaced. they wanted $13,000 for the repairs because the lack of maintentance and repairs they should have done under warranty had slowly fucked the engine...
in short, i sued the living shit out of them. Then bought a 911

First off, why would revenge be an option?! because you cant afford the car?, who is to blame?! yourself, so unless you want to go to jail why would you revenge? maybe cast revenge against your boss for not paying you enough =)
