Cathodes in the hood scoops

So finally bought into the idea of getting green cathodes installed in the hoodscoops of the truck. My brother is pretty damn good with car shit so he's gonna help me water-proof them and installed them.

The pic is old, theres a leather cover on the whole front of the hood+grille up to about an inch or two before it starts the hood scoop incline.


Personally we think it's gonna look pretty cool.
Anyone else have neons or cathodes or LEDS in their whip?

No, to be honest that is extremely lame. Fix the fucked up paint on your hood instead, it'll raise the resale value instead of lowering it like silly neon lights.

But yeah, fix the paint and forget about the funky lights. If you wanna do something cool, figure out a way to make that hood functional. At least it is a mopar scoop. Sand the whole truck down, paint it yellow banana, add the bumble-bee stripes and bee sticker, then black matte out the hood....BAM! Super Bee pickum' up truck.






Or, add the lights and watch as people point and giggle.

Lol, you really think I'd try to sell this truck? I didn't even buy it my dad sorta gave it to me to drive. I'm just doing it because I'm driving it and since I drive it might as well let me feel a little better in it even though I love it the way it is.

The resale of dakotas especially this age is so not worth it. And trying to get the hood fixed is not worth it either cuz the hood is fiber glass and fixing it is basically shelling out a hundred or two or even more to replace the whole thing then get it painted :banghead:.

The hood scoop was put on by the owner before us.
