How can I change the files description? Can someone please help?

I have a few albums on my computer with different spelling variations of the same artists name. So now on my mp3 player I have 3 "different" artists, who should be the same.

I need to change not the file or the extension but the gray writing under the files name describing 'artist', 'album', 'duration' ect. It's annoying and I can't figure this out.

Any help or input would be much appreciated. Thank you.
