Silent Hill 5

An American developer is making Silent hill 5, I love the series so far so I hope they don't fuck it up. I think it looks pretty good. What do you guys think?

A new developer means a new game. It will have it's own feel and what not. I am getting sick of the asian take on horror games though. Silent Hill 1 and The Room were the only decent ones. The rest were so fucking..odd.

I hope they reinvent the series like Resident Evil 4 did for it.

I am pretty sure an American Dev made Origins for PSP, and I thought that game was pretty damn good for a Silent Hill title.

However, when I found out a different American team was doing 5, I started to worry. Irregardless, its a purchase for me because I love Silent Hill.

The room was my least favorite.

I think oddness of the series is due to the fact that they can't be too blatant about the devil worshiping aspect.

Yeah, The Room wasn't received very well. I just liked the idea of it was nice but the combat was a bit lacking. All hail satan.

Perosnally, The Room is up there in my list as far as story and character development go. The game was pretty damn creepy in some places, and watching the room itself get haunted and everything was pretty cool.

As far as gameplay, yes, they fucked that one up big time.

The room wasnt originally going to be a silent hill title, it wasn't untill later in the development that they decided to link it with silent hill.
