What's your favorite mission in any GTA?
Mine has to be either the bank heist in Vice City of the casino robbery in San Andreas.

I like that one where you drive a car and go kill someone. Can't remember the exact name of the mission, but you know which one I mean right?

The bank heist from Vice City was a lot of fun, but I think that the mission where you get the jet pack in SA tops it.

I can honestly say I've never been so close to killing myself before after playing that damn mission over and over and over again.

The courier mission? That one wasn't a challenge at all in my opinion.
Edit: Honestly I cannot think of any one favorite mission. There were a few I can think of that had some potential.(When the ballers attack Grove street/attacking the mansion with the Triads/stealing the weapons from the train/ambushing the meeting on the docks/etc.)
They all had the makings for a fun time, but either didn't last long enough or just didn't play out how you would want.
For example: When the Triads ambush Ryder and those fags on the docks, I would expect a lot more fighting, but once you snipe the few guys on the roof, the way to Ryder is pretty much clear, the Triads actually didn't help much at all on that mission...

I'm the only person I know that's finished that mission.

GTA: uh 2?
The one where u have to pick people up in a bus, and drive them to a hotdog processing plant. lol good times!

GTA2 where you mod the Firetruck and change the hose into a flamethrower.
I liked stealing and selling cars to the cranes at the docks in the very first GTA.

Jesus, I can't believe I remember that. Was pretty sweet.
Rub Out, Riot, Guardian Angels and the one where you protect Cortez's yaught from enemies as it escapes from the bay in Vice City were all pretty sweet. I love Vice City.
In SA I'd say the earlier missions for the grove street families were all very enjoyable.

What about the SA mission where you had to burn all the marijuana before the cops showed up. That was fucking hard as shit doing it the normal way until i figured out you could just grenade/molotov the marijuana.

"Reuniting the families" from SA. It was in the hotel where SWAT raided the place and you escaped then used an AK47 to fight off the cops.

Another great GTA 2 mission is when you have to start a riot inside the prison. Not quite as good as the hot dogs though.
My favorite though, would have to be hijacking the tank in vice city. I don't remember the exact dialog of some of the soldiers guarding the tank, I just remember it was some funny shit.

Definitely my favourite too.
My I miss the oil slick weapon thats in GTA2.
I drop them all over the busy road, get out of my car and go to the middle of the road and play a little game where you avoid cars running you over when they trip over the oil slick. Jump button is not allowed!!
Another bit on the 3rd level of GTA2 is when you go to the Zaibatsu area with 0% respect, gang members will shoot you with rockets! I play a game there to see how many rockets I can dodge!
In GTA SA, I fly my jet pack over the military base and dodge homing missiles chasing me! Gives me some kind of adrenaline rush.

I drove around the entire San Andreas map with cops and shit chasing you. I was on the home stretch on the Harley with tanks chasing after me.
Got it my 3rd try

I liked the one in SA where you break into the military base and steal the
jetpack. Also, the steal mission where you break into That rapper's house
was pretty cool, too.
Oh yeah, fuck RC.

Oh yeah, the sergeant tells them to get donuts and one of the guys is like "right on it sir" and goes running into a corner store while they all wait outside.

It's been a while since I played and can't remeber my favorite but I can tell you I HATE the one in San Andreas where you have to fly the remote control planes and shoot the trucks. That mission made me stop playing SA.

Yeah, I don't think I ever manage to do that mission either, I'd shoot all the trucks and then my plane would run out of battery anyway.

I don't get the fuss about the RC plane mission, I've played through the San Andreas story many times and never failed that one.

It's something about the controls, I don't play consoles that much, I'm use to PC FPS's, and I think it's the dual thumb joysticks controls that screw me up, I dunno I just gave up on it.

Ahh, maybe in the PC version they tweaked it to make it a bit easier on you, and the controls are pretty simple, so maybe it's just a nightmare for console users.

Yeah I think thats the problem, I bet if I played the PC version I'd have no problem. I only ever played the PS2 version.

A lot of VC vs SA. I personally liked Vice City because it was a lot more thug to me. I'm from Peru, I like foreign cocaine conflict gangsters; I don't like "where's mah weed nigguh!?" gangstas. VC is got the Scarface feel that is more gangster than Ice-T on crack.

Agreed, I hate the idea of being a stupid "OG" from "tha grove." I loved VC, it felt like I was actually a respectable character and the storyline progressed in that way.
One of my favorite parts of Vice city was having your gang protecting all of my assets. (Except for ones on the beginning island for some reason. :confuzed:) It seemed that they really were MY gang. In San Andreas, however, I felt like I was just recruiting some guys off the street with overpowered weapons, almost like I was cheating.

My favorite mission was either the one where you save the lawyer from Vice City in San Andreas or when you kill the Butcher in Liberty City Stories.

Phnom Penh '86 in Vice City. I loved cruising around in the helicopter pounding everything on the ground with the heavy machine gun. There's just something very satisfying watching the vehicles or barrels blow up taking out anyone nearby.

Fuck Big Smoke.
Anyhow, I loved the mission where you kill Diaz in Vice City. The second to last and last missions were awesome too.
In SA, the military base raid where you stole the jetpack was epic.

that mission sucks so hard. i always make my brother do it. he seems to be better at it than i am, but it still takes sooo many tries to beat it. we just had to do it for the second time too. cheats messed up the file we had been working on foreverrrrrrrrr.
wait...doesn't the jetpack mission come AFTER the courier mission? if you never beat that mission, how did you get to do the jetpack one?

The R.C. mission wasn't too hard once you figured out the order to kill the people in. If you didn't do it right, you'd run out of fuel every single time.

I FOUND A GLITCH FOR GTA2!!
I know its an old game and not many people play it anymore but anyway...
Find the tallest building there is.
Go on its rooftop.
Equip grenades or petrol bombs as current weapon.
Face the edge.
Jump (don't walk off) and quickly press the fire button repeatedly!
You should be 'flying' like a bird. People can't see you so you could easily evade the police (lines of tanks can still see you and shoot at you but their rockets will go underneath you).
Note this only works on the PSX version (PAL, not sure about NTSC). Doesn't work on the PC version.
Try making your own way to prison on the second level and pick fights with prisoners (or kill them).
HAPPY FLYIN'
