Long-time street car drag racer Spiro Pappas already has one of the fastest street-legal drag '69 Camaros in the world, but for 2008, he's added a second car to the lineup... and this one is off the scale. Powered by a 540 cubic inch Sonny Leonard hemi-headed big block Chevy assembled by Fast Times Motorworks, the focal point is the pair of 88mm turbos on the front of the engine. No horsepower ratings are public, but driver Nick Scavo points out that it should crack 2500 horsepower without minimal boost!

Looks pretty nasty, but T88's are for kids.
What do you think it will run?
Edit: This guy's got some sick-fast cars.
Oh, and T88's aren't really for kids. Figured I'd clear that up before anyone pulls out the "You obviously know nothing about blah blah blah..."

I constantly would get reved by ricers in my SS while at stop lights. With the exhaust system and really lumpy cam it was more than obvious the car was putting down 500+ rwhp. I had a Thunder Racing cam 236/230 .602/.575 112 cam in it and the engine would lope noticably.
Fricken silly damn Honda owners were the worst ones. I would rarely smoke check them as I don't believe in street racing. So I would never give it the hammer like on a track. However, if I would get from 0-60 in short order and that was always enough to leave a ricer behind me wondering, "WTF just happened?"

They'll race anyone, in anything. We were riding in my buddy's Nova II, not sure what all he and his dad have done with it (yes, shameful of me, I'm sorry :( I'll ask next time) and this Ford Explorer is revving at every light in Lincoln, and pulling away like a madman...
My buddy just takes off slow at every light, gets up to them at the next light, same story.
He does this like SIX times, finally I'm like, "Dude, WTF?? Will you put that ass**** in his place already?" and he laughed and dropped the hammer... 3 seconds later, and 6 bus lengths, he lets up... the Explorer pulls up alongside slowly, now the two kids inside are staring, but they don't pull up any further, and they turn off at the next light.
I love old muscle... I like all nice cars mind you, but seriously, don't go racing people in a Ford Explorer.

people used to try and race me when i was driving my festiva GT, one time a C5 Z06 with mods raced my 427 vette, it was about even up to like 90 or 100 when they let off, other than that no one really trys to street race in my town, you have to go close to detroit like around telegraph road where there is still a big street racing scene, but the cops are on the look out so even there its not as big as it once was. times, they are a changin'...
