I like Diablo II, but after a while it can become frustrating, when you can't get any richer without cheating/botting, and you're stuck on this mid-rune maximum. I've played it for a long time now, and I've never found a high rune. I did own a Tyrael's Might once though.
Diablo II's got a great skill system, with a nice amount of items supplementing most builds. I tried playing it again a while ago, but levelling with crappy items and no friends sucks, so I quit.

I have to disagree. Though you're 100% correctomondo and that's their policy, it seems as if people who have had their accounts active since launch they don't expire.

Myself, including numerous friends who haven't played in years are logging into our accounts and finding our characters from so long ago fully intact.

Diablo3.com senior members also are agreeing with this.

In that, if he's played since launch it's possible his account still exists and characters awaiting battle.

yeah Diablo II is still the game I fall back on when all my other games get boring. I'm currently playing ladder on USWest. I still have a bunch of items and characters off ladder too. The neat runewords on Ladder made me switch. Mr. Softee, we should do runs together. :)

Nah. Maphacks arent even completely safe anymore, but ironically theres seriously atleast 3 baal bots on each drop down page thing. Ive never seen so many damn baal bots.

At the time I quit playing, I had string of ears, Windforce bow.... Hell cows were easy as hell.

There'd be times when I'd be single handedly clearing out a hell cow level, and I'd be the only one killing... having a crowd of people running behind me trying to find good drops and shit.

Sometimes I'd tell the group to go off on their own and let me do my own thing... and just by myself I'd clear 2/3 of the cow level by the time the rest of the group cleared that other third.


I think the funnest I had on Diablo 2 was on hardcore ladder.... Hunting down and PVPing people, ruining their weeks of work. Specifically, the Amazon Basin members. I remember they had a hit out on me(for multiple SOJs, which was the high end currency back then) and everything at one point. That was back when the Japs could dupe like a motherfucker and I got all the best top end items for free.

I finally lost my barbarian (Chicken_Legz) when my own friend and PK partner killed me while I was away. I didn't talk to him at school for a week, I fucking made that kid into what he was! I MADE HIM!

I think they should have let you still play a slain hardcore character on single player or open Battle.net

Hardcore PvP got stupid with all the glitches and spambots. Someone can lay down multiple skills ontop of a TP, tele over and have his skills tele over too... killing anyone near a tele. Shit just got stupid.

Anyone remember gmercs? Well now paladins can glitch themselves with auras, which is fucking stupid.



Basically they charge around and if you are within two screens of them you die instantly. Not many people do this though because of how cheap it is.

Necros suck pvp unless your a very good dueler. I used to have a great pvp necro, like 2 years ago, but i just made one recently and they arent that good anymore. With my es fire sorc its very easy to kill necros, i can take like 6-7 spirits and he can only take one fireball.

Your opinion is inaccurate. Diablo 3 would outsell WOW completely. The only reason people are on WOW is to get a half assed Diablo experience. WOW just doesnt draw the same way Diablo has.
