View Full Version : Not your average "Recommend me some DSroms thread"
Halp me EBWF,
I just bought my mom and nephew an R4 card for their DS and I need to fill it up with some roms before I give it to them.
My mom is 55 years old and loves puzzle games like Tetris and is hooked on Trauma Center.
My nephew is 4 years old and had a stroke so he really can only use 1 hand to play games. So I am looking for touch screen only games for him.
What games should I send them? :help:

For the 4 year-old, try Wario Ware Touched, Animal Crossing, and Kirby: Canvas Curse.
For your mom, try Lumines... That's all I can think of hope that helps.
^ THANK YOU ^ I figured wario ware, but thanks for the other 3.
6 internets to you good sir.
Castlevania?
An actual DS rom! OK, at least we are moving in the right direction here. I don't know what part of the initial post led you to this conclusion but I am looking for Puzzle games suitable for an old lady and touchscreen only games suitable for a 4 year old.

For your mom, you could try Professor Layton and the Curious Village. It's a pretty good puzzle game. She might get a kick out of Cooking Mama 2. It's cute and quirky.
I highly recommend Animal Crossing for both. I've had it for over a year, and I'm still hooked on it.

Maybe your mom can try the Phoenix Wright series or the detective games. Your nephew can too but he may be a little too young to understand it.
Yoshi touch and go is a touch screen only game. Yoshi walks across the screen automatically and you guide him by drawing his path.
I would've said Advanced Wars or Front mission but your nephew is too young for tactical game.

The only drawback to animal crossing I think is theres quite a bit of reading, but I cant remember if 4 year olds can read. *shrug* But my 8 year old sister loves wario games, but Im sure your little pal would love Nintendogs.

You should try out Picross or Pic-Pic. Those are number based logic puzzles and are playable with one hand.
You can play a sample Pic-Pic puzzle here (click the link-a-pix):
