At this point it's very hard to imagine anyone beating him, although someone will eventually. But, as of now you can't really name a single person.
The person that everyone thought was Silvas toughest challenge in the entire MW division was Dan Henderson and look what happened, cut right threw him. He's just too well rounded at this point for anyone to give him fits.
But just for the sake of argument you have guys like Kampmann, Okami, Almeida in the UFC who could challenge for the title but have a very bad outcome. Silva is at the point in his career to where you can't see anyone legitimately beating him. Aside from the "anyone CAN beat anyone" argument, there really is no specific person you can name now that Dan Henderson is out of the picture, because in my mind he was the only one. Best MMA stand-up fighter in the world, world class bjj, great wrestling, great chin, great submission skills, perfect build for 185, a ballet of violence.

who in the ufc? maybe some 205'ers and some heavyweights. at 185? not going to happen anytime soon. dana would have to sign some talent from other orgs to see a new champ, but even then it's not looking promising.
who out there can even pose a threat? lindland probably has the best chance. a few months ago i would've said filho, but a few months ago i would have also said henderson. filho looked pretty messy in his last fight so that's not helping anything. frank shamrock? what could he possibly do to silva? he's got submissions, but i just don't see him catching silva in anything. kang would get humiliated in my opinion.
actually, the best bet to beat silva might be melvin manhoef, that guy has outstanding muay thai.

Lindland might have a chance, as he wouldn't stand with Silva like Hendo did. Maybe Hendo with a better game plan could do it.
I wouldn't say Silva has particularly great wrestling.

Sucks- all the best 185'ers, aside from Silva and Hendo(who will likely move back up to 205), are signed elsewhere.
I think Filho and Akiyama would give him a run, probably more of a run than Hendo did. But again, they are signed elsewhere, and I don't see either of them fighting in the UFC for a while.
Basically, at this point, unless UFC starts making an effort to bring in some of the other big name 185'ers, Silva gets to sit at the top of a stagnant division.
So yea, Akiyama, Misaki and Filho are really the guys that I think have a serious shot at beating Silva.
Lindland would have a decent shot too. I think if someone could put Silva on his back and keep him there they'd have a good shot. Lindland might be able to do that, although I said that about Hendo too.
Can't count Denis Kang out either. He's come a LOOONG way in his MMA career.
So yea, several guys sure do have a good shot at beating him... but all those guys are signed elsewhere.
edit- personally, I'd like to see GSP and Silva meet at a catchweight(175/180?) and fight.

GSP vs Silva would be awesome. I thought I heard somethin before that if Rich Franklin didn't beat Silva (which he didnt) that Matt Hughes wanted to fight silva, but after he get DESTROYED by GSP, I dunno if he would even want to try.
I think Okami will get a title shot, cuz anderson has to fight someone and okami has done pretty good in the UFC if i recall correctly. also I think Nate Marquardt could maybe get another shot, he looked good in his last fight against jeremy horn.
but yeah there is literrally like nobody, maybe BJ penn could move up to silva's weight class if he loses to sherk, Penn seemed chubby when he was a TUF coach so he could maybe fight there?

Penn would gas out in a matter of 4 minutes against Silva if he went up to middleweight. That's just pushing it.

Yeah, Penn wouldn't do well with Silva's speed. Yeah GSP/Silva would be great, and I think Silva/Liddell is a possibility. I really don't see Lindland being a threat to Silva, he doesn't have the power of Hendo, which was one of the threats Dan brought, besides wrestling.

I don't see anyone in the UFC at 185 even close to Silva... the guy I'd most like to see him fight is Frank Shamrock.
possibilities from other weights, or if Silva moves down:
GSP, Penn, Machida
or some gimmick fights:
Silva vs. Rich Franklin with a sword
Silva vs. Rich Franklin and Chris Leben at the same time
and honestly I wouldn't rule out Silva in either of those matches :raiseeyeb

The only way he could lose is if they brought back Muhammad Ali and Joe Louis with a time machine to fight him 2 on 1.
If that can't happen, then no one can beat him.

rampage and chuck together done deal, someone set it up! i think he may just get sniped in the end just as hes doing his stupid lil victory dance. seriously he looks like the hardest man on 2 legs when hes fighting but then he busts out the dance at the end and you think i could take him. what i really think as they come together before the fight starts big john mccarthy needs to sucker punch him with a genade.
Rampage.
Fedor.

Rampage? Not only is Rampage about twice as big as Silva, but he also probably would have a difficult time with Silvas reach and ground game. If it went to the ground I could see him submitting Page with something.

If Rampage or whoever moved up/down in weight to fight him at 185, Silva's advantage, easy.... but I think if Silva moved up to 205 to fight Rampage/or 170 to fight GSP/or whatever- I tend to think whoever is fighting at their normal fighting weight has the advantage.
Basically, at 185, I'd say Silva beats Rampage(he looks like a big guy to be going down to 185)... but at 205, I'd say Rampage beats Silva.
