how do you reduce the quality of the call?

EVERYONE needs to do this, every word can still be heard and the filesize is tiny.

which soundboard did you use?

sony soundforge.

I had to reduce it to its lowest on the second call because of the length thats why is sounds a little distorted.

I used the soundboard from the arnold prank contest.

When I tried reducing the bit-rate the Khz stayed the same so the call sounded too high and too quick- do you know how to also reduce the Khz in audacity so it still sounds normal?

windows soundrecorder can change the Bitrate of a sound file, but always always pack it up as a mp3, wavs are too large

This could be slightly different since I'm using the Mac version but,

Go to preferences. Click on the "file formats" tab. At the very bottom there should be "MP3 Export Setup." You can set the bit rate there. I'm assuming you already have the LAME library installed.
