I've always used Limewire and still do but I have a question to the people who use torrents? How do you make sure you don't get in trouble for downloading them? I know how to keep from getting in trouble with Limewire (Which is the main reason I still download from there) but I once downloaded some episodes of a TV show through bittorrent and I got a letter from Cox.net saying that they'll shut down my ISP if I don't get rid of them within a day

Torrents, usually. Sometimes I just google stuff and see what comes up, for single songs this tends to work.

Technically, does it count as downloading when you get music from a CD? Wouldn't that be ripping?

Use to use Limewire then after awhile (even after only looking up music) all I could find was fucked up porn so I switched to Aries which was alright for a little bit then for whatever reason it'd take a gajillion years songs to d/l so now I pretty much stick to torrents and the occasional rar file.

Using P2P for getting music sucks, quality is usually awful. What I do, I use Rhapsody 25 or something like that, and I use my wave recorder. Then I clean it up a bit in Wave editor and it's about as close to album quality as you can get. Better quality without the risk that P2P has.
