Warning: Don't prank suicide hotlines, they WILL call the cops

I called some suicide hotline. I said our friend on the internet was going to kill himself and then we offered to read some of my convo. Here's sort of how it went.

Suicide helper: What was the conversation?
Me: ok here's what he said "w-t-f dude did you hear what happened about my girl" then I said "w-t-f l-o-l are you serious what happened?" the he messaged and said "she F'ing dumped me for trevor!"
Suicide helper:OK so he got dumped by his girlfriend?
Me: Yeah, then heres the rest of the convo, i said "what do u mean trevor? that dirty mexican kid!?! w-t-f!?"

she went into a series of lecturing about prejudice...

Suicide helper: first you should figure out if he has a plan to kill himself
Me: (pushing keys and reading what i typed) "do you have a plan" (made AIM message bell sound) he says "w-t-f is a plan" ok i will tell him (reading aloud what i fake typed) a plan is where you... uh.. remove your own nuts and set them in a jar filled with water and watch them decay over a period of time.
Suicide Helper: Hangs up.

I know some of you are going to say "Don't prank suicide lines because they actually save lifes", i know this and I only did it once, plus anyone that calls one of those lines doesn't actually plan on killing themself.

The prank was alot funnier if you were here, and there was alot more stuff that was said. And I have nothing to record it with otherwise I would.

Anyways cops show up at my door at 3:00am (20 minutes ago) wakes up my family. I just told him I wasn't pranking and he left. pwned. So if you want an awesome prank do what I just said. (It's funny saying all the AIM abbreviations like WTF and LOL)

*Be sure that the suicide hotline thinks you are serious or they will call the police, otherwise it makes for a greaaat prank.

Hate to be a buzzkill here fellas...but thats not cool at all. I don't mind pranking, but those people answering the phones have a hard ass job, and yes, they do help people. They don't need the added stress of dealing with pranks added to their day. They do talk people down from killing themselves. Have a bit of respect...most of them don't even get paid...

Yeah, by the time they hung up they were pretty sure it was a prank, the lady is like "im calling the cop-" then i cut her off with "Dont or ill kill myself" but she hung up too fast to hear it.

I told the cop that it was actually my friend from the interent and I wasn't pranking, then I said but afterwards he told me he was kidding. The cop said well if it wasn't a prank there's nothing I can do but be careful on the internet watch what information you give out.

I swear it's not made up.

Wow you are one giant ass hole. There are real people out there with real problems. You have a narrow little view of the world which consist of high school TV and surfing on Ebaums world so you might not know. Well those suicide hotlines help a lot of people who need it. By you pranking them you make there job so much harder, which is definetly not funny. These are people who actaully care about other people. 1) the cops came to my house to get further information about the person that may have been comitting suicide. They come to your house for that sort of shit in a relatively small town.

i feel you are wrong. maybe people who commit suicide can tend to put a lot of thought into it. If they are at a point in there lives where they have no one to talk to to help them they may take the final step. Sucided hotlines can help there types of people....
