HI, we run a prank call stream at www.kdkprankcalls.com called PCU "Prank Call Underground Radio". The radio stream has been running for 1 1/2 years now and has over 115+ hours of prank calls. We have a strong listenership, especially during the workday (interesting I know). You can see the server on shoutcast at www.shoutcast.com (goto genre comedy).

Anyways, we like to promote amateur prank callers, so if any of you would like to get your pranks on the air, come to www.kdkprankcalls.com and click on the forums and look for the PCU forum. There you can post links to your calls so I can grab them and review them for inclusion in the playlist. We don't make any profit from any of this its all for fun and I prefix the name of each call with the website its from, so you can get some promotion for your site/self :)

There's just no helping some people. I see people on here all the time saying "can anyone host my pranks". Someone comes along and offers to play their pranks on PCU and you diss him? You have issues...

It's hard to find a soundboard call that is actually funny. Usually people post soundboard calls and say words like 'this is the funniest thing that has ever been created by humanity in the entire history of the world'. Then you listen to it and it's 25 seconds of someone picking up and saying hello and the caller playing arbitrary clips that make no sense until the 'victim' hangs up... Total crap.

True but there are plenty of good calls out there.

Also there's nothing wrong with someone getting a conversation going and then descending into irrellcvant clips.

Also, clips that make no sense are fine as long as there is an appropriate sequence of them. The key factor is interaction. and trying to annoy / confuse people.

I'm just MUCH more impressed by anyone who can make a real prank using their own voice. Most 'real' prank callers consider soundboards the tools of the newbie.... something beginners use because they fear that they can't produce something funny on their own.

Perhaps it is more impressive but as you say it is very difficult to do a prank call using your own voice, and even harder to do one that is actually amusing. Just becasue something is impressive doesn't make it funny and there really are way too many totally unfunny prank calls out there. E.g. that person who does the old woman voice.

Also you are far too dismissive of soundboard calls - it is an artform in itself and does take a lot of practice to master it. That's why quite a few soundbard calls are dissapointing.

i find soundboard calls to be absolutely hilarious, its very rare that someone real can be as amusing,

some exceptions are:
hasaad market,Ned, Mr.Rodriguez,Frank Rizzo,

dont find touch-tone terrorists very funny usually
Ive never actually laughed at an episode of 'crank-yankers' on TV except for special ed

Ummm. The "Ned" calls are fake, dude. They're comedy sketches, not real prank calls.
