seasons are ending so fast

Did you notice like certain shows on tv are ending thier season after a couple weeks it aired. DIRT NOW, RICHES. Does this as something to do with the writers guild strike that happened last year. Any Inputs

Yes. I'm glad shows like BSG and Its always Sunny come out later in the year so they don't mix with my other fav shows.
