I've done some research, it's kosher.

Several guys from the penny-arcade forums use Goozex. From what I've gathered, you earn points by sending games in, and use said points to purchase a different game. You can spend money to buy points if you like, and each transaction costs one dollar.

That's how they make their money. This is just a promotional thing. They're offering the games that aren't as popular for lower point values (100), so they theoretically will have large amounts of those games.

Still, if you want to play it safe, you can simply create the account now, and you'll still get your 100 points and 1 trade credit without having to enter an address.. It looks like you can keep those indefinitely. That way, if none of us get anything til next month, you've still got your credit that you can spend. You enter your address when your purchase anyways.

Basically, you trade a game for points. Every game is assigned a point value based on how rare it is, how new, how popular, etc...

Even if a game is popular, if it's extremely common as well, and dated, it might still go for only 100 points, since the demand is so easy to meet.

With more points, you could obtain some of the more "expensive" games, such as Assassin's Creed, or Halo 3.

When you want to actually purchase a game, you buy a trade credit for one dollar. You make a request for the game, and when someone else out there sees your request, they send the game to you. Goozex doesn't actually do any of the shipping, they're simply a sort of hub between people doing these trades.

Also, once you get your game, don't be a douchebag. After verifying that it's in decent condition, sign onto Goozex and give the person that sent your copy good feedback. Don't make them wait the 3 weeks for the automated feedback.

1. Yes, the person who sold you a PC can easily wrote down the CD key and save it somewhere, however most of the 100 point games that you all are requesting, are not as popular, or single player. Chances are that the person quit playing the game.

2. After the shipping conformation from goozex,it says that it could take 5-14 days for the you to receive the game, just chill if you haven't receive you game in 3-4 days.

3. this happened to me too. After i received my first game, i gained 200 points and 2 trade credit. Im not sure if have to pay that $1 for a second game trade.

I got matched up to like 4 different people for Tenkaichi. It took a week for someone to actually match up, and he sent it, received it within 3 days.

I just got Devil May Cry. Apparently, it shipped today and I got it today. Weird shit. Nice shipping. I can't complain. The case and disc are in nearly perfect condition. The manual has a tiny tear and there are some nearly microscopic scratches on the disc, but that doesn't matter. I've bought worse quality discs from stores.

The 100 points and 1 credit goes towards getting you 1 game. You go to the icons on the left, say the PS2 one, change the "sort by" to "points," and then look at all of the games which you can get for 100. Once you find one, use the Add to my Requests thing, specify which type of package you want, and then wait. If someone matches, you'll be notified by email.

I did. I waited until the recommendation to wait a certain number of days/hours was up. It was a solid 3 weeks.
