I have a launch date 360 so my system doesn't have an output for the cord, is it really that much better if I buy the adapter to hook the HDMI cord to my 1080 i t.v

If so what adapter should I buy? I already have the monster cable HDMI cord.

The fact that you said you still have a working launch date 360 does not encourage me to believe you.

Oddly enough most of the people I know with launch boxes have been very lucky with them.

I dont have one from launch, i'd say mines about 9 months old, but ive never had a problem with at all and i suspect its because it didnt have any faults when it was made and because i've kept it in a well ventilated place ( on glass ) with the extra fan i bought that goes on the back of the 360, not a single problem, if everyone ventilated there 360 properly i bet half of the problems would not have happend. But of course alot left the production line already faulty.

well yea it did break, along with every other one produced in the first year...I dont consider the circle of death a break, more of a production error

My buddy's is actually a launch date console I found out today, but it kept freezing during gears of war, the sound cut out randomly then came back, and the colour was going from regular to bright green randomly. Looks like even the lucky people's 360's give up eventually.

All launch day xbox 360's have the same basic hardware problem, which will eventually arrise ...

Something about the solder used on the GPU, not the right kind for the sort of temperature jumps the 360 exerts on it. ie at the end of the day it cracks and fucks the connection. Simple as. Microsoft know they fucked it up so they gave the 3 year warrenty.
