Holy fuck I'm gonna jizz when I get this game. Apparently 90% of the environment is destructible. Remember in BF2:MC, when you'd be in a tank and a fucking shrub would stop your tank and take away some of it's health? Fuck that. You plow down trees now. Think you're safe from an artillery strike in a building? FUCK NO. You're screwed. This game fucking rules.

Some destruction videos.

Yeah, but it'll be typical EA bullshit. They'll promote the destructable environments as the only selling point of the game, and when it's released we'll all see that is has a shit plot, bad voice acting, technical bugs coming out of its ass, advertising all over the place and will get boring within an hour.

By destructable environments, EA probably just mean you can blow up all the Coca-Cola billboards.

Yeah I still a bit skeptical, I like the fact that they added in iron sights instead of using a crosshair all day. Hopefully some of the gunplay and suspense rivals that of CoD4.

it seems to me that most of the maps are still open enough so that vehicles will still dominate, and as an infantryman you can't even hide in buildings now, as they're destructible..

Watch the vids dickhead. Any wall can be shot through, as well as fences etc. . When artillery strikes take place, it creates craters that can be used for cover. Anyway, I probably wont even touch the story. The multiplayer is what I'm looking forward to. BF usually has good MP, and combined with this new destructible environment, it's a recipe for orgasm.

Eh. I don't like how a explosion from a grenade makes a nice neat rectangular hole in the wall bigger than the actual explosion. The explosion should also blow out debris proportionate to the amount of wall being owned.

Polish MOAR plz.

Also, I don't think a gernade can blow through a brick wall that easily, a tank shot maybe, but thats all just nitpicking.

i agree, i think the holes are too big imo...but if it facilitates gameplay, hey why not.

Guys, I have the beta and it is nothing special.

Its fun for about an hour and then the destructable environment thing wears off.

I rather save my money.

If they changed it that's great, I stopped following the game after it was announced, and still have no plans to buy it.

It certainly does, he presented himself like he was knowledgeable when he wasn't. Not to mention that he was being a smartass prick. The only thing worse than a smartass prick is a wrong smartass prick.

Forgive me for not following the game every 24 hours. I tend not to do that with EA's bullshit anymore. When's the next Sims come out?

You can't have your cake and eat it too. You sure seem pretty interested in the game when you were talking shit about it. When it turns out you were wrong in your shit talking, you can't just say 'oh well I don't follow the game'. If you don't follow the game, don't act like you know what you're talking about.

And for the record, I'm not interested in this game and the only EA games I own is FIFA...so, try something else. Even I know you don't have to buy the weapons anymore.

PsiRedEye22

But I did follow the game. I followed it pretty close, as I did with all of them. When I heard they were charging for weapons, I stopped. How is that difficult to understand?

hmmm...i think i'm starting to figure it out. ;)

Flaming aside, my point is that I don't even follow the game and knew you didn't have to pay for the weapons anymore. And it's always fun to rag on somebody when they say something wrong. C'mon people...get with the program.

Well stupid drawings aside, me too. Maybe they finally figured out that trying to squeeze every penny out of people is in and of itself, financial suicide.

Agreed, it was probably the worst decision associated with video games that I had ever heard of, thank god they came to their senses on that one. Apart from this, I've heard that the game isn't nearly as impressive as we've all hoped.

Seriously, they sell plenty of games, what the fuck is wrong in their heads?

I'm in the beta and these are the gripes that mostly everyone has.

-Why would you take out the parachutes... WHY? Choppers are a death sentence now.

-Why is there no prone?

-Destructive environments are still very much predetermined explosions not anything like the new material simulation engines that many people thought this would be.

-Takes upwards of 7-9 rifle bullets unless it's a headshot to down an enemy. (If the gameplay was faster and it was easier to aim I wouldn't have a problem with this, but with the sluggish feeling controls/aiming it turns into a minute long dancing/strafe fight. Not very fun.)

-203's won't kill someone if it hits them in the chest if they have full health. Splash damage is minimal also.

-Hummer moves like a crippled snail.

Overall the game is really fun but it's not what it was hyped up to be. I'm hoping the single player is awesome since that was their focus this time around.

I give the beta 7.5 outta 10. Lets see if that can get bumped up a little when it actually comes out.
