New PSP, what does I do?

I just got the Daxter PSP bundle. How should mod, hack, or otherwise combobulate my PSP? Also, games suggestions?

But yeah rerat, modify the firmware. That's about the only interesting you can do with a PSP. Otherwise, it's just a waste of plastic and metal that has the capability to store pornography.

This guy knows where it's at. You can possibly turn that thing into a GBA, SNES, Genesis, PSX and run apps 'n shit. Ultimate customization as well with sounds, icons, among other things.

I haven't dabbled in the black magic of homebrew in about 6 months or so, so I don't know if they made homebrew for slims, but last I checked it was possible but VERY VERY limited.

I got the three game files downloaded. I think we did everything related to firmware, apart from that popstation thing.

I don't remember what the 150.PBP and 352.PBP files were for though, but they are related to all of this.

edit: Why can't you mod a slim? Was it an intentional thing by Sony or is it just so shit that it doesn't have the full capability of being modded?

I think it has to do with the new mobo they put in slims. Like when the replaced the mobo in the fatty a long while back. They probably homebrewed the slim, maybe if I get my hands on one I'll try it.

It's a slim? :idea: I'm in uncharted territory. I haven't tinkered with mine in a good 5 months or so but I might if I find myself a 2gig memory stick sometime.

I think if you want to crack slim you would need a pandora battery, i don't know but for my phat psp i used the gta lcs method.

I've found those to be excellent game, especially MHF2. There are also a shit ton of ports and remakes, Like Final Fantasy Tactics and Dracula X Chronicles.
