I am very curious if anyone outside of Michigan or Detroit has any idea of what's going on with the mayor.

First of all I've lived in the Detroit area my whole life and I've traveled a lot. Therefore I am 99% sure that Detroit is the worst major city in the United States. Its so run down, so dangerous and so poor.

Now if that's not bad enough the mayor got caught fucking some bitch that worked for him(shes about as attractive as monica lawinski sp?). So whatever no one liked him in the first place. now its been months and the whole city is a fucking soap opera. They're fighting at council meetings and nothing is getting done. its just so sad and pathetic that the shittiest city cant even maintain a weak government.

There is a lot more to it. I'm mostly just ranting but i really want to know. If yo'ure from outside of the Detroit area have you heard about this? Is Detroit once again the laughing stock of the US?

Yes it is. I have been there once and went down town for a baseball game. It was like a fucking third world country. We should just give the place to Canada and be done with it.

Agreed without even mentioning the economy here, the unemployment or our wonderful "govenor" Granholm. Everyone is miserable and scared of losing their job, city is built on a dying industry and all black people in the D' are moving north.. ahh :ahhh:

I grew up in Bloomfield/Birmingham and I love it cause it's my home but I have to get out of here asap. It's getting worse and worse everyday.

Thats a very nice area :)
I am in Royal Oak. I also plan to leave, just have to finish school, obtain a degree. Although I think it would be rather difficult to pass on such cheap cheap real estate!
