how do i type what i want something to say?

i heard that this site is used to get voices of television characters (for prank phone calls). i was wondering where do you get this? i heard you can type what you want the character to say and then he speaks it. somebody please tell me where to do this!

You can do it on windows, just hit start, control panel, speech, tab text to speech and there you go.
