I was interested to hear about Ben Stein's opinions on Darwinism. It looks like a good watch. Anyone see it?

The reviews for this film are terrible. Here is an article debunking claims from the movie:

A great to docu to see over this is Man of Aran. Search for it in IMDB.

You can't really go by reviews when it comes to a docu. It is possible for movie reviewers to be biased you know. Why do you think Gore's docu got great ratings despite a lot of it being debunked?

1. Nothing was debunked.

2. It was a great documentary.

The Hunting of the President was factually correct, but it was a sleazy film regardless. Triumph of the Will and Birth of a Nation are bullshit, but they are heralded as one of the best pieces of cinema.

1. Nothing was debunked.

If you think that, then you weren't paying attention when it came out. A lot of it was debunked.

2. It was a great documentary.

I guess your standards aren't that high then...

Bullshit docus like The Great Global Warming Swindle not only were debunked, but they emberrased conservatives for relying on it. All academic journals have sided with documentary.

This movie was trashed by critics. the scientific community has trashed it as well. That is enough right there. Even docus that 'liberals' love were trashed. IE: The Hunting of the President.

I'm not defending Expelled. I haven't seen it and I really don't care about it.

My point is that you can't rely on movie reviewers when it comes to docu's because everyone has their own bias - even movie reviewers. Someone who supports creationism would say this is a great docu while someone who doesn't would say it's bullshit. Movie reviewers aren't experts on evolution. They don't know what part of the docu is factual and what part is fabricated so they rely on their own personal beliefs.

I honestly don't trust ANY docu's, no matter which side of an issue they take. They all have their own agendas which means they will only tell you what they want you to hear. Do you really think Al Gore is going to interview a scientist who doesn't believe all the hype of global warming and put it in his docu? Hell no, because it doesn't fit his agenda.

Of course you don't like Birth of a Nation, because you probably cant look past the racism. It's considered one of the best pieces of cinema because it was the first, or one of the first feature length films and did a lot of things that had never been done in movies before.

And you know how they say that ID supporters are being persecuted and losing their jobs because of their beliefs? Look at this. (http://www.sunclipse.org/?p=626) People who teach evolution are being fired and in some cases, having their lives threatened.

Persecution complex is awesome, huh?

Who said, I didn't like it? I think its an extremely racist film, but I'm not denying its importance. I tackling the issue of bias in reviews.

I was interested too, but it's starting to look just like a pile of crap. I can't believe they would blatantly misquote Darwin to fit their agenda.
